Who would you guys prefer to face in your matchup? The consensus on our side of the bracket is we'd prefer a 7-man Drexel squad.

If Drexel shoots the ball against anyone they way they did against then you just might in some trouble and no disrespect intended towards UNCW. They played their backsides off and Bruiser coached a great game.

The one team I really fear and we would not see them until Monday is Delaware. To me they are playing well, the match ups are not in our favor and they have owned us. But, if we do play on Monday it would fitting to have a rematch against the Hens and this year's result be in favor of The Tribe and two streaks end all at once.

Good luck to all

This Drexel CoC game is not pretty so far. 11:35 left in the first half and it's 9-5 Drexel with neither team having much going on offense.

And sadly both of these pathetic offenses dropped 80 on the Tribe...

And, we held both to girls HS basketball scoring. All depends on which Tribe shows up.

It will be interesting if the Drexel game goes into OT. Lot of guys with 2 and 3 fouls for them in the 1st half

Charleston has missed a ton of easy shots in the paint but are up by 1 with 5:50 to go. If they can pull this out Baru fouled out with about 7:00 to go so he will be more rested tomorrow.

Drexel with Myles with 4 fouls and London with 3 fouls

Charleston is not good, but they're doing exactly what you should do against a team without their star player and essentially playing 6 guys.

Yep. Drexel is also helping them out having 5 points since the 8 minute mark

That's a CoC v UNCW game tomorrow. CoC tends to play UNCW tightly.

Still can't fathom how Drexel got 80 on W&M. I don't think this team could get 80 if you gave them open layups the entire game

RE: General Men's Bball CAA Tournament Thread
Charleston wins.

Barry only plays 27 instead of his normal average of 35
Baru fouled out in 10 minutes instead of normal 26 minutes
Chealey, Stitt, O'Donahue, and Johnson all went between 30-33 minutes
Other guys at 7,11,and 19 minutes.

As wml said, they aren't good though and UNCW should win even with 2 key guys playing less than normal today.

That game was like watching paint dry. How in the hell did we get blown out by THAT team in our gym on Senior Day?!? Glad someone finally took Bruiser's team to the glue factory to be put out of their misery. CofC will give UNCW a much tougher game tomorrow...Drexel would have been like the "Walking Dead" tomorrow if they had somehow won.

RE: General Men's Bball CAA Tournament Thread
The 2 "home" teams lost today in Towson and Drexel who are both very close to Baltimore as the winners came from the South in Elon and Charleston.

Delaware (60 miles) is the only other very close team left in the tourney as Northeastern (400 miles) and Hofstra (200 miles) are a ways up north JMU (175 miles) and W&M (200 miles) are south and UNCW (400 miles) is much further south with Elon (325 miles) and Charleston (600 miles). Luckily JMU and W&M have many alums in the NOVA area which is close.

RE: General Men's Bball CAA Tournament Thread
There were more Elon fans and CoC fans there last night than Drexel.

Towson filled their full end with a terrific band and some students but other than that, not a huge number of Towson fans there.

I think it will up to W&M and UNCW - maybe Delaware - to put some people inside. JMU could, but if it's like two years ago in Richmond, they really only came out for the championship game. They typically don't bring a large group in the earlier rounds.

Attendance was announced at 2,500+, seemed about right. Not bad for the Friday edition of the low rank teams.

It's nice to realize we averaged more fans at home games than there were at the first round of the tourney yesterday.

Not the best of game so far between Hofstra and JMU. 5-3 Hofstra at the u16 break. JMU is 1 of 7 and only has 1 defensive rebound to Hofstra's 3 while Hofstra is 2 of 6

WM had more students here than the other 3 teams in this session combined (Elon had zero). Good job students.

Ugly ugly game so far - I hope neither team works out the kinks.

JMU is starting to play well mostly thanks to their zone defense up 20-15 with 10:40 to go. We are hoping for OT.
