I can see the CAAT moving to the Patriot Center.

The bad thing about the Patriot Center would be accessibility to/from there and to restaurants/hotels. You suddenly get in a "must have a car" situation, which you didn't have in Richmond and don't have in Baltimore.

Maybe its just me, but the problem I would have with the Patriot Center is that Mason left the conference. I'm not sure why we would want to support them financially with revenue from the tournament when they left and are now too good to schedule us.

If our options were say the Patriot Center and the place someone mentioned in Roanoke, I'd take the Patriot Center because it at least has some semblance of accessibility.

If it's the PC or say Baltimore, sure, give me Baltimore every time.

I'm not too hung up on some vindictiveness for them moving to greener pastures. Isn't their performance in that conference punishment enough?

I'm not really vindictive about it, but see no reason to reward them. Their performance will change when they replace Paul Hewitt.

Now that is good humor! The best part about what Mason is going through ins't how bad they are, but how much they are paying their coach!02-13-banana

I'm not saying this to be a homer, but no venue is better than W&M Hall. Lots of hotels, restaurants, and things to do within walking distance of the College. The CAA should reward us for being loyal and actually bring fans to Baltimore.

Roanoke isn't aware of the CAA. Too focused on VT and a little on UVA

Agreed, I grew up there!

Stick with Baltimore. We should all try to get into the same hotel next year and pack it. Looks like our group is switching to the Holiday Inn across the street from arena...best room for the price point

Hrm - interesting. We may have met and not realized it? I was sitting in the lobby of the Holiday Inn with my wife when a couple of Tribe fans came in looking for a different hotel to stay in and they asked us how we liked it.

Too funny! I guess we need a secret handshake or buttons or something :).

Hope you guys like it. The location is amazingly perfect and the accommodations, especially for the price, seem more than fair to me. When I'm there I really only am in the room to basically sleep anyways and have had no complaints.

I've not been in the other hotels to speak for them, we got lucky and picked this one last year too.

The Marriott Waterfront was awesome, and also where the team stayed. You do have cab fare ($6 to Pratt Street Ale House) and parking, but the $96 rate from Priceline made it a steal.

Didn't want to create a new thread but looks like JMU accepted a CIT bid so so far there is:
NCAA - Northeastern
NIT - Tribe
CIT - JMU

Only question is UNCW at this point.

We walked by the Marriott on Monday - looked very nice. Didn't realize that's the Marriott where the team/everyone stayed. I do like the convenience of not having to worry about a cab, but obviously $6 cab isn't bad.
