I agree with you, but unfortunately it’s as good a source as we have for UNCW

What is better ?
Seriously. No one said it was a GREAT source. But its the best we have. We don't get the kind of media coverage the P5's and their recruits get.
So either help us out and provide us with a better one, OR, if you're well-connected to the recruiting scene, give us the scoop! lol.

Keeyan Itejere -Grace Christian 6-10 and very athletic, not sure UNCW has a shot but he would be a huge addition. His team plays in Wilmington Thursday night vs Cape Fear Academy, also on the same team with Jaylon Gibson,Wake Forest commit-7 footer.

6’9 ’21 Keeyan Itejere (GRACE Christian)
Although Gibson is the clear leader, no player on this squad has more eye-popping moments than Itejere. His length, athleticism, and nonstop effort make him an absolute headache for the opposition, as it allows him to fill the stat sheet without ever really requiring the ball in his hands. Itejere continues to get stronger physically and more polished as an offensive threat, but already understands what separates him from similar prospects. More programs would be wise to get involved before he truly bursts onto the scene.

I would be surprised if we didn't have someone there to watch the game.

I didn't see anyone from UNCW at the game unless they came as a empty bleacher seat. Cape Fear beat them and it was an ugly game for sure. There were other college coaches there.

The team is currently on the road. Might explain the lack in attendance of UNCW recruiters.

They might have had a guy there to watch that they trust to evaluate players-does not have to be a staff coach.

More offers the better. Forces offered athletes to know if they don’t accept we have other options lined up. They sit on the fence about it too long and the opportunity could pass them by.

RE: Recruit Updates
Maybe because of a mid season firing, but UNCW is the only CAA team with no commits.

Agree, and I think we’ll be fine once the hire occurs. I’m not stressing.

Just hate to be behind on recruiting again. Guess it's better than a bunch of transfers.

The biggest recruiting challenge for whoever gets the job is keeping the talent that's already here and then hitting the Juco/Grad Transfer market hard. Remember when McGrath took over and said he didn't plan on using JUCOs? That shows you just how far in over his head he was... While we're behind the 8 ball for the 2020 class at least we're not graduating anybody. Just have to limit our transfers as much as possible.

Yep. He was just completely out of touch with what it takes to compete at the mid-major level.
This is why we need someone with mid-major experience to take over the HC job.
