We've signed everyone except 1 that we anticipated we would. (Except the 3 guys that bailed on us last week for UGA, Northwestern, and Nebraska)

Love the presentation, that is sick. We have come so far in the last three years on the field in how this program is ran it is unbelievable. I think having a real AD and Pres that is truly passionate about athletics is probably as important than who is coaching the team.

Losing those three guys is really hurting since at some point you can't save schollies anymore and hope for some diamonds in the rough. Just worried about one kid. He has been very quiet, don't have a good feeling.

Blake Anderson said today that the large majority of kids are now sending their LOI's in via Text message. NCAA started allowing it this year.

On the bright side. Its a sign of respect that UGA would offer one of yours last minute. Means people recognize that you guys generally sign good players.

I swear Illinois keeps a secret copy of our commitment list, and just goes down that list when they lose a kid.

Way better situation than fighting aganist FCS foes for recruits.

No doubt, I was really worried about numerous kids that had P5 offers today but going pretty good so far. Four more spots to 25 (including the UAB kid) I doubt we have a full class today and probably pick up one or two later this week or save them for next years class.

No doubt I just realized for the first time ever I did not worry about FCS schools at all. I know a kid went to Furman but he is real close to their and it is a great school. He choose them over six FBS schools including GT.

Looks like from last Wednesday we signed everyone who had committed except 4 -- 3 of them to Northwestern, Nebraska and Georgia. We are still waiting on 1 but it is looking like he will sign with North Carolina.

So I guess that means we will have 3-4 spots still open. After the smoke clears we could get some very good players with those 3-4 spots we have left.

We're going to sign everyone expected to sign today, outside of the three who left (Troy, Wake, and Purdue) But no surprises.

DC Jr is holding out for a UNC scholly in case a WR falls through for UNC.

I know we have a looong way to go in going head to head with the majority of the P5 in recruiting but I just can't wrap my head around waiting on school where you are plan B or even C when the your a plan A+ at the school that really wants you. UNC is not even a football school and if I remember correctly has some major NCAA violations lately. 03-banghead

Getting a fluff job from coaches goes along way in the head of a 17/18 year old.

I've said this on another board/post, but we are physically incapable of thinking the same way these kids do. What makes sense to us in no way is logical to them a lot of times. It is what it is.

Not every DI prospect believes they will be in the NFL or care a great deal about play time. Academics are still going to play a role in recruiting.

We didn't get to land Henderson but we still have a nice class shaping up... According to 247 we just passed ULM in the recruiting rankings.

Troy was 11th in the sbc in recruiting last year

Neal Brown has only been on the job 2 months and is currently ranked 6th in the SBC just behind USA.

Pretty remarkable...
