I do not expect Nevada to bring anyone into the Superdome. Couple that with a 10am game time and no one will be watching this game on TV.

Or, in other words...

It'll be just like a Tulane game in the Superdome.

I wouldn't doubt it.

JDTulane says he's for real. I tend to believe him because his schtick is too off-the-wall. If that New Orleans bowl crowd manages to break 40K, I'm betting he'll have a stroke.

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette ULL is busing in many of its fans leaving at 5 30am from Lafayette and returning to Lafayette 45 minutes after the game for $50 according to their fan website. The purpose of these bowls Sugar,Carrier in New Orleans is for them to put money into the economy of the city including restaurants, bars and hotels. Will not happen here!

Tie-in with the MWC is just silly. C-USA and AAC have many teams within driving distance who would help with ticket sales, hotel occupancy, and restaurant tabs.

Believe me know one from CUSA or the AAC is going to this game at 10am in the morning!

And that bus load will still be more than Tulane put in the superdome.

And it will be more than you put in Yulman Stadium when the newness of that soccer stadium of yours wears off.

Curious but how's Tulane's bowl prep going?

The executive director of the New Orleans Bowl said recently to the press that he expected very few Nevada alumni or fans in for the bowl because of the two week notice and distance. This is pathetic. I expect them to sell 500 tickets at most as they have zero interest in this game.

It appears you have as much interest as anyone. Odd.

I hope that executive director makes note of the root cause - that MWC tie-in. He could be looking at thousands of C-USA fans coming in from Middle Tennessee or Rice instead.

That 10 am kick also means 8 am on the west coast. Just massive dumb here.

Indeed. I was hoping that somehow we'd get a matchup with Rice because of the local interest and the fans that it would draw. Last time I watched a Cajun/Rice matchup in person was at Cajun Field with Brian Mitchell at qb. It was a good game.

I believe the guest spot in the N.O. Bowl is rotational. I think the AAC and C-USA will be involved vs a SBC school but I'm not sure how frequently.

The New Orleans bowl will have a big walk-up crowd of Cajuns fans, and the time slot is what ESPN wants. Nevada fans who don't come are dumb, because New Orleans is awesome at all times of year but in the winter most especially because the weather is gorgeous (it's going to be a crisp 65 today without a cloud in the sky).

The bowl is fine and will out-draw most other bowls in its class of low-end bowls.
