May have something to do with CUSA adding Colorado College for Women's soccer and the frustration that ECU feels because we have to take non $$$ making teams out to places like Colorado and El Paso.

Do you know why that is?

Something called "Katrina" hit the City of New Orleans and Tulane Univ.

CUSA added Colorado College Women's Soccer "temporarily" as Tulane had to cancel 7-8 sports in the short term.

PS. Don't think travel for ECU non-revenue sports bothers ECU's AD. Heck, just this year...ECU Women's soccer took a road trip to play Texas A&M in College Station and Univ of Oklahoma in Norman for non-conf play.

If its good enough for non-conf play travel..its probably good enough for conf play too.

So, why add anyone? Do we necesarily need 12? We don't have 12 for Baseball, so why would we need 12 for women's soccer? Why add someone that is so far out of the footprint? They are over 1,700 miles away from Greenville.

Maybe you should think about it before copying Sophandros' post from the CUSA board!

So you would rather have a CUSA soccer league of 11 teams - with higher travel costs by playing everyone once - instead of a CUSA soccer league of 12 teams in 2 divisions - with lower travel costs by playing divisionally only? What kind of sense does that make? Do us a favor and get your frivolous complaints off the Big East board.

This proves that some East Carolina fans will do anything they can to rip CUSA anywhere they can. Doing it here will not get your school into the Big East. All that CUSA did in this case was replace a suspended West Division team with a new West Division team. Big deal. The cost of flights to New Orleans or Denver are probably similar.

Sorry...have no clue what your talking about...Another post?

Sorry...I WORK in New Orleans NOW...I use to live full-time in New Orleans.

Sorry if I'm a little "closer" to the situation than you are.

KL

PS. New Orleans area is still accepting volunteers to help thousands and thousands of victims of Katrina. I'll set you up if you want to come down and help (like thousands and thousands of HS and College kids did on their Spring Break.)
