RE: A Plan for Sun Belt Conference Expansion
Seems like Appy had a really good basketball team a couple of years ago and won some post season games.

Reality, you certainly don't live there.

You saying this TODAY? LOL. On a day when the BE imploded due to a MBB decision. Riiight. LOL.

The BE "imploding" as you put it will be the best thing to ever happen. Steve Katz is saying that the NCAA has told the football schools they will have an auto bid. The Catholic 7 cannot do anything except just leave, which is fine, and cannot do that for 27 months. All the incoming football schools have reconfirmed their intentions to be in the BE. Will work out really well, better than if they stayed. Biggest problem the BE football schools will have is what new football members to ask to join.

The decisions to add programs to football conferences are based upon the following criteria:

"market" - aka location
...
...
...
football
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
basketball

that is reality.

Yep, we got 'Buzzed' in 2010. Houston Fancher was relieved of his duties after a respectable tenure when he went 13-18 in 2009, although we won 18 games in 2008 and 25 games in 2007. Buzz Peterson coached us to 24 wins in 2010, came up 5 points short in the SoCon championship game, won 2 games in the CIT tournament and then bolted after the first year of his contract.

Jason Capel inherited that solid core and 'coached' us to 16 wins in 2011, 13 wins in 2012 and and 1-7 start to this season. His contract cannot end soon enough.
