Calipari takes a SHOT at Louisville!!
I LOVE IT!!
He was listing all the ranked teams that lost today. Then, he said that Louisville really impressed everyone by playing a great game against powerhouse Akron.
Then, he apologized for making that comment and said that Louisville had a tough game coming up with Savannah State.

living in the past already are we? this is a new year, but i'm sure akron and savannah state will get in you shape for the big dance. of course you've got a couple of slow dances with the big hairy brute that is uconn before the ball, but i'm confident you'll bag and shag those match ups won't you...

It's just too bad they aren't playing for a conference championship somewhere...Big East, CUSA, Metro...whatever....Louisville and Memphis should be playing.

There are only two really good teams in the Big East this season- UConn and Villanova (the jury is still somewhat out on the Wildcats until they play better teams). The bottom half of the Big East is mediocre. It is true that C-USA is pretty much a joke, but so is Louisville's non-conference schedule. When you look at both school's overall schedules at the end of the year, they will be very similar in overall strength.

ULCARDINALS Wrote:We'll play TWICE as many ranked teams as you will by the end of the year. You won't play a ranked team at all once you hit your conference schedule against the power teams like UCF, Southern Miss, SMU, Tulsa, and UTEP....meanwhile, when the polls come out next week there is a good chance that Big East teams will be ranked #2, 3, and 4. Let me know when C-USA has a chance at doing that.
PS....enjoy the Motor City Bowl against whatever other midmajor scrub you play....better hope it's not BOWLING GREEN AGAIN!!!! HAHAHAHA!!!!
lets see...we play #1 Duke, #2 Texas, #7 Gonzaga, #15 Alabama, #18 UCLA...and by the time we get to them Houston should be ranked.
what a crappy schedule.
oh and as far as football goes you guys should be fine...i see your not playing South Flordia in your bowl game. lmfao
Go Tigers!!!

that would be last season...we were ranked #25 for a couple of weeks after beating Ole Miss then UT-Chatt and Arky State.
but i'm sure you already knew that right...looeyvul fans.
Go Tigers!!!

What do you care? You guys moved on............at least that is what you said last spring.
Your's is coming. You can just live in despair waiting on it. Payback that comes in cold doses is the hardest. Just know.............when you are playing all of those fantastic Big East teams this winter, whenever you finally play someone with a team, the Tigers is waiting for you at the end of the line. Sweet 16, Elite 8, Final 4...................somewhere, CBS is going to arrange the match. It will be so embarrasssing for you when it happens. None of this "Darius misses two free throws" crap. It will not even come down to that.
Destiny cannot be denied. The air gets colder and colder the closer it comes.

And you enjoy those great games at Freedom Hall against Bellarmine, UT-Martin, Southern Indiana, Prairie View A&M, Arkansas State, Richmond, Akron, Chicago State, Middle Tennessee State, Florida Atlantic, Detroit, Fairleigh Dickinson and UC-Davis. I bet those Cards fans are on the edge of their seats for each and every one of those.
And before you say, "look at our Big East home games!", I say yeah, you do have good games against Villanova, Pitt, UConn, Cincinnati and Notre Dame. But, South Florida, DePaul and Marquette are all mediocre this year.
When it comes down to it, a Louisville Cardinal season ticket holder gets 5 good games. 5 out of 21. The rest are garbage.
