The fact it might be someone we haven't discussed scares the sh!t out of me. There are a fraction of viable men's head coaches vs football coaches. Odds are the only names left are either well above what we've discussed, or well below.

Folks are harping on a few, but dozens have been mentioned on here, even DII. The group we haven't really mined is assistants since there are so many, but that contradicts what the admin has been signaling as wanting a proven head coach (unless that is a lie).

Sure, there's a chance they may have found an under-the-radar guy that turns out to be a great hire. What odds do you give that?

No idea. The only thing that would impress me is if we venture outside of the supposed budget limit or hire someone who most people think will be a good coach.
