On the plus side acting quickly may indicate that they did their due diligence early and that he really wants the job. He has a solid resume and connections to the area in terms of recruiting programs and coaches. The speed and familiarity may help with continuity/player and recruit retention.

On the down side some of us may have hoped for something more.

Yeah, I really hope they don't have tunnel vision for Jones and fail to engage top-tier candidates. I'd be fine if we ended up with Jones, but we need to exhaust all other options first.
