Installing / demanding class & discipline is NOT mutually exclusive to on-court performance. If anything , kids that follow Lou’s off court demands are better performers imo.

I’m just assuming it’s X’s & O’s and the inability to either recognize the correct system for these guys or communicate how to get them to execute .

There was a very successful baseball coach for years in VB and I had a buddy I grew up with that went in as an assistant coach to the successful veteran . My friend was a die-hard baseball guy whose dad was semi-pro, etc. very smart to boot and knew the game inside and out. I met him after a couple years on the team and he told me “I thought I knew the game until I got with Norbie (the coach).” He stated the way he was able to get the most out of each player was awe inspiring .

It’s one thing to know the game. It’s another to take a team of “x” amount of players with “x” amount of buttons to push that are all different , and to effectively push all those buttons .
