Louisiana at Troy should be a good one tonight.

On Saturday, I have my sights on the App at JMU and Southern Miss at Troy games.

Hoping we can produce a good crowd for App State (> 7k). We got above 8k for Radford thanks to CGD, so getting close to that would be nice.

Georgia Southern has played 16 games so far and played 3 at home so far. Rough.

Troy/UL was very close but Troy seems to have run away with it in the last 2 minutes.

Everyone knows your record but you guys are playing night and day difference right now. Still some growing to do but you guys are on a far better path than your record would indicate.

Would hate to draw you in the postseason.

Arkansas State beat Texas State 85-82. Texas St. made their last 4 three point attempts within the last minute of the game. All of them were with a hand in their face. Texas State also plays great defense. I expect we'll get beat when we travel to Texas.

You're a broken record.

We're a one bid league. We know. NET means NOTHING.

Triggered over a fact, lol. I find the information useful for determining the likely outcome of the game without having to go look it up myself.

You good and well know why he posts that. I don't care that you agree with him, but I'm not the one triggered by starting 4-0 in league play.

No one here is triggered by winning. I love when we win. I just don't care about some of the teams we beat. I just would like for the wins to matter in and of themselves by playing the OOC like it matters. In a one bid league you are likely not going to be it. So scheduling and playing real teams where you can matters more. That may be all you can hang your hat on for a whole season. A couple quality games that you actually competed in. Not a sacrificial blowout loss every 5 years.

I would rather lose to a couple of ACC teams than Queens and Campbell, capiche? Show some respect to the fans. Make them worth watching whether we win or lose. In a 1 bid league it doesn't matter if you get beat up OOC, but it prepares you for the best in conference where it does matter. JMU will be talking about the time they beat Mich St for decades. We don't have anything close to that in this era of Marshall basketball because we never try. And don't even try to say Wichita. We didn't seek them to play and they aren't elite.

How much better would our 24 wins last season have been it we had a couple of real scalps to show for it? A stringer of minnows and an early exit in the tournament don't cut it anymore. I can take Dan not recruiting, well, having no clue during a game on how to use timeouts and personnel changes, even not being able to figure out why 40% shooters in practice shoot 15% in a game. What I can't take is dumbing down schedules to pad wins and not prepare our kids for the rigors of tournament play in a 1 bid league. It's disrespectful to them and the fans.

MUther - I just don’t see Dan or Mark (Cline, who I think puts the schedules together) changing their stripes. Once a new coach is running the show, perhaps.

I really like this team! Playing well within the system & getting some help off the bench. Would be nice if Crawford would get the message, as we could use his talent.

Please, a lot of MU fans have a lower interest level and don't follow basketball as closely as they use to; me included. A friend of mine, for example, drop 6 mid court season tickets he had since the Henderson Arena opened. Since we are now winning in conference play, I started to take a little closer look at the program. Yes we are winning, but the level of the schedule matters. As they say, the devil is in the details. Since I don't follow MU basketball like I use to, I giving info for MU fans like myself.

The NCAA uses these rankings to determine the quality of the schedule and use it to determine the seedlings to The Big Dance. If MU makes it to the post season, you need to know this material. Don't you want to go to The Big Dance? That should be the goal of the program, to make it to the post season and not one of the pay to play events. I am sorry if the facts of the rankings bother you, the information is factual. I guess it doesn't fit your agenda; whatever it is?

We are not a guaranteed one bid league YET and I detest the defeatism some already show in the conference. We also all still have one more OOC game.
