-CB Joshua Scott - not dressed
-DE Mikey Haney - not dressed
-DT Alex Merritt - not dressed
-DE Sterling Miles - not dressed
-DT Ugo Nosike - not dressed
-Carter Evan’s - out for the season

And I could have sworn I saw DT Malik Tullis or Melvin Swindle in the stands or do I have bad eyesight?

Isn't it wonderful following a team with ZERO local press coverage? I was hoping that Alex would fill the void, but apparently Creighton likes to keep such info with tighter security than Trump, Hillary, Pence or Biden do with their business. LOL.

Lucky check the game participation reports. I believe they both played.

Don Brown had to be ecstatic that Samson was on the sideline next to CC most of the game. He wasn't injured. I know Creighton is a nice guy but when you have an inaccurate QB but a John Riggins prototype at RB, give him the rock, control the clock. Jaylon Jackson is the perfect complement (12-83, 6.9 avg), but I'm riding my best player.

His knees are made of jello right now.

Evans was 8 for 89 yards, but I believe that includes the big 65 yard nothing burger. 7-24 is a lot less impressive. Both Evans and Jaylon kept trying to bounce it outside (nothing inside?) with little success.

I hate the zone blocking. Let the big men lower their shoulders and hit people. The six up front should be able to knock a 4-3 back four or five yards. Make them load the box, then Smith has some options on the outside with his legs or arm. CFB has gotten far too cute. Unless you have day 1 draft picks on the d-line, they should lose that trench battle every play.

I might add that Bogard the DE from OK has not played this year as well. Those of you who wished to see the younger guys at DL play have gotten your wish. Coleman, Swindle II, Grant Randall, Tullis, Gaines, Price and Zelinsky are the main rotation but Gilbert and Gonlalez have seen action as well. So far most of the true freshmen have not seen any action. Our depth has been depleted at this position.

Without getting into any specifics, my understanding is that there are a few guys who are dinged up a little (nothing serious) and to whom the staff wants to give some breathing time. They are able to play, but if they are not absolutely needed to pull off a win, they will be rested to ensure they are as healthy as possible come conference play.

CC and his staff are playing to win...and that is for the whole season, not just the next game. If they can give some of these guys a chance to stay healthy and build some game experience in the deeper parts of the roster, and still pull off a win, that is a true win-win situation.

I am sure once the conference season starts we will see more time in the game from each of these talented players. I still firmly believe this team is a MAC Title contender.

Appreciat the insight Cid. 2-1 is where I think most of us thought we would be so it's fine but it just hasn't seemed like we've been firing on all or at least 75% of our cylinders for the fist 12 quarters of the season

Hopefully it's like you said that we are using some depth to get experience and ensure we are healthy for league games.

I'm still really high on Swindle and hopefully Haney and Merrit get back soon and solidify our Dline. My biggest concern is still the game plans we have set up for Austin. I'm hopeful we get him in better situations for next week.

I did hear any mention from the refs, not that their mics ever work. I also listened to WEMU and I think they would have mentioned it.
