Is that even legal in Florida?

ESPN is backing out of a deal with the PAC amid reports that ESPN is having financial problems.
There's been a rush to create streaming services. All of them want sports programming. This rush isn't going to last forever. It's probably winding down now. Many of these streaming services will fail.
Will the value of college sports broadcast rights remain sky high in coming years? I'm not predicting the prices that conferences can receive will go down but I don't think they'll continue to soar. They can't. Trends don't last forever.
Who knows what things will look like in five years?

God forbid that power political economy be examined for its role in college football. I would be deeply offended to be told that Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Wisconsin, and a few others are discriminating against the poorer football football programs just to ensure they stay on top of the money pile.
Shocking I tell you that some group would act out of maintaining their socio-economic advantages over others - just shocking.
The next thing you know some egg head is going to claim that rich folks stay rich in part because they keep poor folks from taking their stuff.

Quote:Sitting alongside their professional counterpart is the amateur sport of college football, itself a billion-dollar industry. It draws several comparisons to our beloved GAA — amateur players playing in front of packed stadiums full of die-hard fans and an engine behind it that generates big sponsorship revenue and television figures.
But to really appreciate the scale of college football, it is worth digging into some jaw dropping numbers. College football itself ranks as the nation’s second most popular sport when attendance and viewership are combined, larger than baseball and basketball.

INELASTIC DEMAND
That inelastic demand theory will be tested in the next few years with possible continued re-alignment, Pay for Play, NIL and the transfer portal. If I see VT's best players leave via the portal every year, it's going to be hard to keep watching.
