What area of town you staying in? Remember, the stadium with traffic is 45 min from I drive area. If staying in disney, with traffic, add another 20 to 30 min.

Seems like we have more weeknight games than in years past, but I could be wrong on that. Wouldn't surprise me if we start having more non-Saturday games as part of the new TV deal. Having P-5 games on Thur/Fri is valuable programing.

Also, feel bad for UCF, no home games against OU/Tex and your first conference game is on the road at K-State. Good luck with that, not an easy place to play.

Houston fans must be ecstatic getting Texas at home. They've been trying to get that game for years.

I think only because it's the only time they'll have played us on campus. All the SWC "home" games for UH were at the Astrodome, where tailgating wasn't allowed.

We've actually been trying to get home games with ALL the ex-SWC B12 teams, but really only TTech obliged us. Even TCU forgot us once they left C-USA. lol

The Horns played at UH around 20 years ago at Robertson Stadium. Remember "End Zone Gate"? Most UH season ticket holders sold their tickets to Horn fans and made a nice profit.

Looking forward to the upcoming season! At least we got OU so we can play against Lebby and Dillon Gabriel.

UC has seven home games. Season package is normally 6. I hope the AD does not decide to play OU at Paycor Stadium and do season package of 6 at NIP. Then sell OU at Paycor as an added cost.

yeah that's my thought too. I feel like UCF got slightly screwed, but it is a much better schedule than we usually have.

If Texas an OK stay for 2025 we'll probably get one at home. However I think they're gone after this year. We'll see.

When it was released by Cincinnati, it noted the games in white were all at Historic Nippert Stadium.

I get the sense that this AD understands the importance of playing the games at Nippert Stadium long term even if they could make an extra dollar. No one wants this game in that corporate/green seat feel Paycor has.

Also, I don’t think it’s as financially necessary since the Nippert expansion with suites and 5k more seats. Our last home game at Paycor was during the renovation years and outside that the only games I know of being played there were when Oklahoma came to town in ‘10 or ‘11 and Ohio State in ‘01 or ‘02. The later of which I’m not sure if that was a home game or neutral site.

Welcome to the boards.

These next two years are going to define where UCF fits in the Big 12. All the western schools are going to be off doing their thing, Houston is going to have a blast with their Texas schedule, and we're going to be on the island, inside an eastern island of the conference. I think a reasonable goal for the next two years is to beat the other new additions and WVU reliably, get bowl eligible and see where we are in 2025.

Not necessarily. If they do leave early, there may be some requirements for OOC games. Who knows at this point. I would rather them just stay until the end. I will take Texas and Oklahoma next year in the Bounce House 03-lmfao wishful thinking though 03-lmfao

UC played both Louisville and WVU there in the Butch Jones years for some reason.

UCF Home Slate with Uniform Speculation:

Kent State (Home Opener)

Villanova (Officially Family Weekend)

Baylor (Home Conference Opener) = Knight Mode

WVU (Officially Homecoming) = State of UCF

Oklahoma State = Military Appreciation

Houston = Space U

Ah yeah. That was a total failure though.

Oklahoma had it in their Home and Home contract with UC. They would only agree if the game here was at PBS.

The WVU game was due to the crowds they used to bring on the road...was before the 100 million renovation of Nippert and sell outs were a mess with concessions and bathrooms back then.

Don’t think either game was a failure. The Louisville game drew around 41,000 and the WVU game about 45,000. At the time, UC was averaging only about 30,000 per game. Both were outstanding, highly competitive games as I recall.

https://www.downthedrive.com/2011/11/16/...04-million

I can’t recall the break even attendance numbers but they were in the 40k-50k range. I’m not sure when those were talked about often if they included the loss in sponsorship $ which per a quick skim of the article it sounds like not.

Even a 3/4th filled PBS/Paycor is lame in comparison to two sellouts and a real atmosphere at Nippert.

Butch didn’t like it either per the article. Nippert rocks in sellouts. Everyone knows PBS/Paycor sucks regarding atmosphere unless it’s a huge Bengals game. I still find a random Bengals game rather blah during the regular season even with how good they are.

Pointless imo.

I was actually in Nippert in 2007. It was a fun time and the Cincy fans were very welcoming. I thought a lot of Cincy fans probably hated us, but apparently not.

I'm actually happy to have UCF and Cincy on board in the Big 12. Apologies for the double post.
