I think it is possible for both CBU and Seattle to be in the top 150 prior to the Conference schedule. UTRGV and Dixie under 200 and Chicago St and Lamar under 300. Lamar needs to get its injured players back. If that can happen, the WAC would be sitting well. SFA also has a chance to get sub-100. Then conference play will be stable with regards to Net.

WAC is the 15th rank conference based on the NET. I know Todor does not want to hear that as it defies his prediction that WAC 3.0 cannot reach the heights achieved by WAC 2.0. And in season 1 of WAC 3.0 no less.

Losing NMSU and SHSU would leave us at about the same average. WAC 4.0 might be OK too.

You thinking NMSU and SHSU would cancel each other out? It's possible. Not sure how this works. I would imagine losing the highest ranked team can't help.

GCU vs San Francisco is a huge matchup. It's neutral court, but should be full of GCU students.
USF has a NET of 27 right now.

Well, unless you're the Missouri Valley Conference. The MVC lost its flagship basketball program Creighton to the Big East in 2013. Then Wichita State filled the void as the top basketball program until they left for the AAC in 2017. Now Loyola Chicago has taken the mantle as the top basketball program. But yet again another top program is leaving as Loyola Chicago will be joining the Atlantic-10 in 2022.
I'm sure with NMSU going to the CUSA, it will clear the road for GCU, CBU, ACU, and SFA in basketball; the same with SHSU leaving WAC football. It will be interesting to see who will grasp the mantle as the new alphas in football and basketball.

I feel UVU is built on one player (Aimaq). Once he is gone, I'm not sure if Madsen will find better talent than the four programs I mentioned.

I would include them up near the top though. They have been a solid program for quite a while, and while a player like Aimaq is hard to replace, I have been impressed with the transfers Madsen has pulled in. He can recruit. I don't anticipate them dropping off much, but hanging around and being a factor. I feel they will be more consistent long term than some of those four.

Agreed. They were solid under Pope and haven't missed a beat under Madsen.

Chicago State lost to NIU tonight 70-59 at home. I thought the Cougars had a good shot against both Illinois State and Northern at home, but Chicago lost by 10 and 11 to the in state foes.

RE: WAC MBB Week #6
CSU Bakersfield should be a good matchup and test for us. They are only 4-2 officially, but their defense is beginning to really come together. They went in and beat Boise St. 46-39. Then they beat Benedictine Mesa 87-59, not impressive in and of itself. What helps it is then they beat Idaho 59-58. Again, Idaho is pretty far down the list, but the pattern is still showing a team with improved defense. Prior to those 3 games, they had been allowing quite a bit more. Against our defense, I see a lower scoring battle unless we can get back to our earlier turnover margins and score off of them. This team has proven that they can upset their opponents, so I don't make any bold predictions. I think we should be favored. My biggest concern though is still getting back to our historical turnover margins.
