Looks like GCU pulls it off: 49-48. Good win for the WAC!

Blacksher carried the Lopes with 23 points. He is the toughest PG in the WAC to stop. I was unable to watch the game but with this low scoring a game and only 9 total fouls called on GCU for the game, it appears the refs swallowed their whistles and let them play.

I couldn't watch the game either but would agree with this assessment. Only 18 total free throws taken between the two teams. GCU's FT shooting woes continue as they went 5-12 from the line (41.7%).
Great win for the program though. Our first at the Jerry Colangelo Classic.

Only a one point game at the 3:46 mark between SFA & Kansas (66-67). Would be a fantastic win for SFA and the WAC. Go Lumberjacks!

Ouedraogo was a beast on the boards (16 rebs) was well.

Also noticed that Sean Miller-Moore was not in the box score. Chance McMillian started instead. Anyone know why Miller-Moore did not play?

Remi Martin comes back to haunt the WAC again. Last year he hit a game winning three for ASU to beat GCU by one 71-70. He transfers to Kansas and tonight he ends SFAs chances at an upset with another three.
Even so, great game by SFA.

What a fine competitive performance by SFA. Well done, ''Jacks."

GCU had a total of 6 fouls the entire game with 3 seconds left. Talk about having help in that one.

SFA:72 (8-4)
#7 KANSAS:80
FINAL

KACHEIRIES PTS:18;REB:3;AST:5;STL:2
KENSMIL PTS:16;REB:12;AST:7;STL:1
HALL PTS:14;REB:7;AST:2;STL:1

It was 70-73 with 34 seconds remaining.

I didn't thing SFA was going to hang in this game, after that stinker at home against ULM, but I was wrong.

SFA shoots 47% for the game to Kansas 42% SFA out rebounds Kansas 31-28
SFA shoots only 4 free throws to Kansas 27, that was the difference.

This game won't help Keller with OOC scheduling next season.

The GCU win is the second best win out of all the WAC teams so far this season.

Teddy Allen is the first Aggie to be selected WAC Player of the Week. Dixie State Noa Gonsalves is WAC Freshman of the Week.
