After USA got shut out by Troy last year we had a booster come forward with Steve Campbell’s buyout money if the AD wanted it. The rest is history.

It was an ugly game from both teams in different halves. I really thought we were going to lose the game when we lost our starting QB and RB.

South Alabama fans traveled really well today. I was there and they were loud, energetic, and passionate.

Well, as of last year I was correct.

Just don't tell the Cajun fan that App/Coastal is the highest attended game among current SBC teams. He might have a coronary.

So tell me about this battle for the belt.. Is it just a belt y'all fight over every season?

All we need is USM to be decent again and a return to Saturday games for big conference games and you'll see higher attendance than 32,000. App and Southern/Marshall/Coastal has potential for a full 35,000 if the game is on a Saturday, even if it's on ESPN.

I'd expect Louisiana and USM will be a heavy draw as well. App at Louisiana would probably draw 30,000 if it were a Saturday.

Tons of potential. Hope Ben Moore is right that our linear games will equal the AAC because that means more Saturday games, hopefully, for rivalry games on television.
