Tulane needs to Step Up its game
Now in the 3rd Qtr, Tulane is getting blowed out by Houston.

Mike Dunleavy is a good hire, but can Tulane Basketball be competitive in American when everyone has a good coach?

Tulane Football? The brand itself is pretty much self-explanatory.

The Basketball arena only holds 3600 fans? When Tulane joined American, the school promised to play American Conference games at the NBA arena. Even if they did, no fans would show up.

If we look at American Conference, every one has stepped up its game.

UConn just beat Syracuse
Cincy is 23rd in CFP while having a brand new arena
Houston, brand new arena also
Memphis, 15,000 fans showed up at Mid Night Madness
UCF, 22 winning streak
USF, solid Basketball hire and growing football program
Temple, always solid in Basketball and I am looking forward to their new coaching hire
East Carolina, great Basketball hire
SMU, Tulsa

Tulane is 4-3 in the American. Think about what you're actually saying when you make fun of Tulane football.

Tulane just need to be kept out of the spotlight and left to ESPNU. This team wilts when on a major channel.

Why do people ignore that we've been pretty good at football in this conference?

Why? His premise is right. Tulane has really underachieved in the AAC. What else did I miss?

I think his point is, nobody said anything derogatory about Temple. So why are asking why people are ignoring Temple football in this conference?

Unfortunately, no, it doesn't. Baseball doesn't pay any bills.

Baseball never gets any love. I actually think you guys are doing fine though. Fritz has the football improving and the basketball team actually has a lot of solid young talent to work with.

Tulane is covered with those academics lol.

Ideally we all need to continue to step up our game.

Everything from our OOC schedules, to our recruiting, to winning big games, to selling out all home games, academics (Especially us) and so on.

Really, I don't care how other teams do in-conference. If you had beaten Wake Forrest and UAB, nobody would be able to give you any shite.

New president and AD. These are the biggest signs that Tulane Athletics and hopefully academics will improve. The level of professionalism in both football and basketball are already way higher than they were 4 years ago. The previous 15 years of athletics at Tulane were really, really bad. Like probably one of the top 10 most mismanaged programs. I still have no idea how the previous administration tricked the AAC into letting us in.

In everything other than baseball we're trending in the right direction. Results should show soon.
