Stoops. You've got to be kidding, right?

One can read some amazing things on this board.

How about if this happened?

Men's bb coach: Bruce Pearl
Football coach: Lane Kiffin

Some people on here would probably spontaneously combust.

Agreed. If he's available, I think he should be considered

Rationally, I know we should consider retreads, but presently I am fighting a phobia against it. I prefer a young, hungry, and aggressive coach.

I don't understand the hate for Kiffon as a coach.

He has proven he can win

Would I want to hang out with him no... But I would want him calling my plays

kiffin would be a good hire. the guy can recruit, he can coach. hes just not the fun hire. youd rather find the gem than polish a damaged good.

Yeah, Joey Freshwater is a big winner. Not living off his daddy's rep and his media buddies.

Went 5-15 and got fired in his second year for the Raiders. 7-6 for UT. Seriously underachieved 3 out of 4 seasons at USC and got fired on the runway after starting 0-2 in the Pac12 in year 4.

Real question is why anyone thinks he can coach at a high level.

Why would you even suggest this?

But you throw out Bob Stoops as an idea?

About as much chance of Bob Stoops coaching here as Vince Lombardi and Knute Rockne coaching here.

He'd be a good hire. If ANYTHING could make sportswriters and coaches pay attention to a AAC school in the top 25 in the polls,it's a team coached by Kiffin. Imaves can be reformed, see what we did for Cal. Kiffin could be our next coaching reclamation project.

IF it becomes necessary to hire a new coach, I’d take Lane Kiffin in a heartbeat. He has run through CUSA (7-3,6-0) like a hot knife through butter in his first season. It’s not even fair.
