Not surprised you would say that..
As far as the Cajuns are concerned, with our softball and baseball teams usually doing well, we would probably end up #1 or #2...
These are the 5 sports that I follow..
If you want to add another women’s sport, we could add Vollyball or Scoccer...
I have never been to a Cajun volleyball or scoccer game, though...

Well bankercajun, the important message we send is that if you a golfer, tennis player or track and field athlete, you are wasting your time.
And if you define major sport by attendance, most SBC school averages more in volleyball than softball.

Fo, I always enjoy your thoughts. As a former UTA tennis player, I can tell you that we were pretty low in the food chain at Arlington. It was a really big deal the year they bought us new shirts to wear at the SLC tournament and let us keep the old ones.
Of course, that was back before student athletics fees, and the UTA athletics program, including football, was operating on a shoestring budget. Now, we collect $8.50 per semester hour from over 43,000 students (maximum $115, per student).
Imagine how well we would do in the Bubas Cup competition if we collected $20 per semester hour, like at Texas State San Marcos. (where the rate has just been approved to go up to $30/SH.) Dang. We could fully fund all the sports that the Sun Belt Conference sponsors!

1. South Alabama (107.5)
2. Texas State (96.5)
3. Troy (93.5)
4. Coastal Carolina (88)
5.Texas-Arlington (85.5)
6. Appalachian State (84.5)
7. Georgia State (80.5)
8. Louisiana (80)
9. Arkansas State (75)
10. Georgia Southern (62)
11. ULM (45.5)
12. Little Rock (37.5)
Congratulations to Texas State on their first Sun Belt Conference softball championship.
The softball tournament starts Wednesday, outdoor track and field on Friday.
I'm going to call it now; unless South Alabama simply does not show up for the track and field championships, they win another Bubas Cup.

Not if you restarted football and had to pay for a new, or severely upgraded, stadium, new T&F stadium and new softball & baseball facilities.

Maybe he was talking about what ratholes the TSSM student athletics fees have been going down. $30/SH is a lot of money!
At any rate, the facilities at UT Arlington look pretty good. T&F, Baseball, Softball, Tennis, Golf, Volleyball and Basketball facilities stack up pretty well compared to our conference peers. As for the football stadium, it needs additional seats in order to satisfy FBS minimum attendance requirements, averaging 15,000 attendance over a two year rolling period. But Maverick Stadium is easily expanded, as it was with temporary bleachers for our opening game against North Texas, when we had 18,000. (Yes, that was over 30 years ago!)

You do realize that the San Marcos was dropped about 8 years ago, right? Are you ill informed or just being obnoxious?

Coastal Carolina and Louisiana will be the #1 and #2 seeds in the baseball conference tournament, everyone else will be seeded by conference record. Bubas Cup points awarded completely by conference record so Troy got second place points. The 1 point for the baseball tournament will not change the Bubas Cup standings.
Official congratulations to South Alabama.

Track really saved us this year in the Bubas Cup. I shudder to think where we'd be without the two track titles.
