Isn't an architecture degree one of the least degrees in demand right now. Perhaps a MS might help but architects are almost a dime a dozen. I know these trends change over time but...

It's not just an Architecture degree. It is a NAAB accredited MASTERS degree. An M-ARCH. And it is one of the most grueling degrees attainable.

Y'all might be interested to know that there are only 2 universities in the state of TN that have an Architecture program. UTK, and UofM.

Just wondering what we can introduce into the curriculum which would create national attention as far as world class research. Something which could make the U of M a national leader when it comes to academic study and research. Something which can fulfill the needs of the world well into the middle part of the 21st century.

Have always wondered if there could be a way to convert radiation directly into electrical power without resorting to fission or fusion reactors. Would make all those spent fuel rods from current nuclear power plants useful instead of having then in storage for the rest of our natural lives.

You wouldn't believe how many people I work with from other countries. Seriously, the cafeteria is like walking through the United Nations.

I long for the days when we had the best engineers in the world, like those who built NASA.

This area should be a priority. With vision and planning, the university could build off the impressive progress of the Center for Information Assurance, and then leverage, lead, and inspire other regional institutins to create a tech environment like they have in Utah and other small but burgeoning tech centers.

Move the main campus to Collierville and you got a chance.
