Of course they didn't get it right just like last season when the Rockets didn't return any starters on the OL. This year the Defense has losses but the Rockets help fill the spots with 3 and 4 star transfers/graduate transfers. The latest being former Va Tech DB Desmond Frye. Of course the preview doesn't address any of it.

And you're rated ahead of them by 20 spots, what's the issue? The MAC champ got blown out by the 3rd place Sun Belt team too. The third place Sun Belt team got blown out by the fourth place Sun Belt team. The transitive property doesn't really work here.

App State had one signature win last season and ranked #126 out of 128 teams for Strength of Schedule. A comeback victory over a mediocre Bobkitties team that hasn't beaten Toledo since 1988 isn't exactly a harbinger for 2016. I can see a possible 3-5 losses for the Mountaineers.

I can think of one pretty good win.

It was over a team that clobbered the MAC Champions and also clobbered a MAC West team that had the same conference record as Toledo with a head-to-head win and with a better cross-divisional schedule. Both of those wins were with our backup QB taking all or most of the snaps.

6-6 is fair after looking at his records at McNeese. But to call Matt Viator a "great" coach is a stretch. Viator had a few really nice seasons at McNeese, but 6-5 and 7-4 were his swan songs. Though after recent years in Monroe, those swan songs might sound like the 1812 Overture. Would be nice to hear it at Troy this year as well.
