Where were all of these Navy fans earlier this year?

I'm glad to have more military support and triple option companions!

A few of us were posting, but not much about Navy was being discussed. Well, other than to overlook us. 03-wink

Navy's not going anywhere. They'll plug in other guys and continue to win 8 or 9 games a year.

Member 11 July, first post 18 July. You might be interested that that thread was on the differences between this experience and Army going into CUSA.

I remember a few of you, but it is nice to see more Navy fans posting more. 04-cheers

Don't mention that disastrous experiment. It makes Gates' order of attack for the Battle of Camden look intelligent.

I know you have done so with fervent valor, but it seems to me that Navy traffic has picked up after their big win. Hopefully, everyone strikes around. Since the independents don't have our own base, I chose the AAC board.

04-cheers

Any other silly suggestions?

I want the USMC to start playing FBS football.

In a sense they do. Our Midshipmen are officer candidates for both the Navy and the Marine Corps.

The big win last weekend sure sparked a lot of interest in Navy's program nationwide. We've been blessed with a great coaching staff that has been very steady and consistent.... few changes over the last 14 years. Even when we changed head coaches, when Paul Johnson left, Ken Niumatalolo ... stepped up and the staff remained surprisingly intact. Had a lot to do with Chet Gladchuk's foresight and handling of the situation. Many props to him.

One guy we are going to miss for sure is Keenan Reynolds.... and it goes beyond his play on the field. It will be hard to replace the overall package that Keenan brings. Take a listen to this interview from yesterday on the Jim Rome show and you'll get a sense for what I mean.

Keenan Reyynolds interview 11/10 on Jim Rome show.

Oh... and Happy Veterans Day to all our AAC brothers and sisters who have served.

....and of course a Happy 240th Birthday (celebrated yesterday) to all those Marine types out there....

I knew about the military teams in the World Wars but I never heard of these teams. I will add them to the conference.

Bring up the Coast Guard, Merchant Marine, The Citadel and VMI.

Channeling DavidSt with a brand new conference:

The Red White and Kick Your Ass Blue Conference

Army
Air Force
Navy
USMC
Coast Guard
Merchant Marine
The Citadel
VMI
Quantico Marines (played football back in the day against big schools)

Yes, they did. Us being one of them. we played in 65 and 66. We are 1-1 against them.
