Troy Baseball schedule 2016
Pretty good home schedule this year...Host Alabama, Mississippi state and we also get the Cajuns and jags at home.
Also stacking up to be a pretty good season as we return a lot of power hitters and bringing in some good ones too.

Ooooo, baseball thread.
That is a nice schedule. I might try to make that Troy/Cajun series, haven't been to Troy yet.

You should, it's a pretty good trip for a baseball type series where you have something to do every day.

Cajuns are going to be pretty young this year with a lot of newcomers.

I have no idea what to expect out of AState this year. Lost a lot of talented players, and are replacing both assistants.

Ok so it seems I did not understand the CCU membership for 2016, I thought they would be on the schedule for this coming baseball season?

2016 Fiscal year...not the beginning of the actual year. Coastal enters the Sun Belt on July 1 2016.

the mavericks have put theirs out. we have the usual tcu and baylor coming in plus texas tech and oklahoma state and stephen f. austin and dbu and we play at latech a 3 game series and at texas a-m. one of our home games with texas tech will be over at globe life park home of the texas rangers.

Cajuns return all of their weekend starters and most of their bullpen, young was not a problem for them on the mound last season. Several JC position players will have to come through, but most of the freshmen besides Lee and Harris will be redshirted. UL will have the best pitching in the SBC.

I wouldn't write that in stone just yet. We return 2/3 of our starting rotation, including our All-American Kevin Hill, and most of our bullpen. We also have some good ones coming in. Coach Calvi is one of the best pitching coaches in college baseball (I think he may still have a trophy sitting around his office that says that actually). We also return one of the best defenses behind them in the nation. #13 in fielding last year).

I know who Kevin Hill is, but I don't know much about the rest of your arms. UL started 3 freshmen on the weekend last season and signed two HS all- region arms in Harris and Lee to add to those three. So we will see when it comes time to play the series.

I'm by no means guaranteeing we will be the best, but I think we will be up there. Calvi's coaching style revolves around great pitching and great defense. Most of our infield returns, as well as our Rawlings Gold Glove center fielder. We should have even more speed and athleticism at left and right field as well.

I know our schedule is complete, but the school never releases these things until last minute. I also know the conference matchups this year correspond to last years, same teams on same weekends, just changed locations.
