You know, in years past, we had similar conversations about Texas State. I do blame the coach. He knew what he was getting into when he signed up. If he can't be successful, he shouldn't be taking the job.
And with regards to Georgia State, success (at their stage, I would say) is not the same as success at say... Georgia Southern. It will be in the future, but right now, to me, success for Georgia State is 4 wins. Something to show the fans that the way things have been in the past few years is NOT the way it will be in the future.
Put it this way. You have a bunch of 2 and 3 years starters. You have a boat load of transfers. So you have 12 games. With what you have you should beat Charlotte and Liberty. If you can't beat those two then I an sorry but you're done. That leaves 1o games for you to figure out how to win FOUR games. You can't enroll SEVENTEEN at mid year and say you need a couple more years. That is to win now. And those suites and club seats in the New Ted aren't going to sell themselves.

Confess I am asking questions without enough knowledge to know the right questions to ask, but am curious.
Fulton County is about 75 miles from north to south. Atlanta is right in the middle. It used to be multiple counties, but that is a whole other conversation.
That is why we think it is laughable when the county wants to have more say. People from cities 15 miles away from downtown want some sort of say on something or think they should have a majority say on.
Welcome to Atlanta
Why would people want more say on what goes on in the county where they live?

People in north Fulton County have not cared for 50 years what happens 35 miles away in the stadium neighborhoods. Now we are to believe that according to the Fulton County Commissioner residents of Alpharetta need to have their say. They can go kick rocks. The last time I checked 6>3. So there, they can have their say. Unfortunately they have half as many votes as the city.

That is partially true. The Milton county wannabes have cared how much they paid in tax dollars that benefitted other parts of the county that did not carry the same weight. Wealth distribution at its finest. You are naive if you think they haven't been paying attention.

6 is greater than 3 and I'm sure the city will get their way. You originally stated the county hasn't cared before. Doesn't the county own the site with the city? Why would they not care? If you owned property with someone else, wouldn't you care what happened to it?

Then point I am making is that the commissioner is saying that people in Alpharetta and Johns Creek have concerns and need input on what happens in the neighborhoods around the stadium. That is a fabrication. They could care less which why only he has raised any reservations. The truth is that Commissioner Eaves has been feuding with Mayor Reed for years. This is just the latest incident. Injecting this process with unnecessary red tape is not smart. We have already seen Tyler Perry nearly back out of the Fort Mac purchase because of similar foolishness. You don't want a potential developer to walk away and chose another option. At any rate this is happening since has support up to the Capitol.
