Their money and support are welcome, and if they leave their SEC clothing at home, I will even prohibit my wife from flipping them off.
Why would you wear SEC gear to a Memphis Tigers game? Unless they are playing an SEC team perhaps.
F199 enjoys a good bird show, including giving the finger.

There's a couple that sits near me in football - one of the two wears a UTK article of clothing every single game. And they attend every home game.

It's 2015 gramps. We don't need "fans" like you or your wifey.
UTK has always been football in TN even with the recent decline. Memphis has always been the basketball school in TN even with the recent decline. I would imagine, if a Memphis Tiger fan had a reason to visit eastern TN and showed up at a UTK basketball game in Tiger gear, some fans would not appreciate the visit from their city brethren.
Most of us are not going to wear other fan gear when we visit the home stadium of..... say UTK, but maybe people who enjoy the attention want someone to flip them off or yell at them. Let's be hospitable.
I nominate Mrs. Gray Avenger to be our official flipper offer.

Does this mean you will be "flying in" some this fall?

Flyin in? Is that what they call it nowadays?
lol. Atmosphere. They call it love and I get plenty of it. The rich kids burn it, my broke people dub it. They call it hate and I get plenty of it.

Some here seem pretty arrogant regarding our team yet accuse the SEC fans of being just that.
Hypocritical really.
Please elaborate, I am just not sure where you are coming from. I have seen Alabama fans get in fights and get arrested so much I have lost count. I have read of LSU fans killing their cousins because they were Bama fans and I have been to Ole Miss games and watched them be rude to elderly people who wore Tiger blue . Are we behaving that way ?
Specifically, I know we have football season ticket holders who live in Memphis but attended, graduated and support other schools. Personally I, and I know Coach Fuente, are aware of and appreciate these fans. If I lived in say Boise I would probably have season tickets to Boise State because I love college football but Memphis would still be my number one team ( I don't even follow the Griz).
However, we have some uppity fans here that obviously don't a appreciate the "cross dressing" fans and I think that's wrong.
Personally I have no problem with someone having two teams , just don't pimp them on our board !!!!!

I am not a SEC fan, but I want Memphis in the SEC, it is a natural fit. SEC has picked up in basketball and fallen some in football. But, SEC will always be a powerhouse.
