The young man was simply great tonight. His D was so reminiscent of Antonio Anderson. Was truly a pleasure to watch him on both ends of the floor tonight.

He absolutely terrorized Boatright last night and did not allow him to get into the lane at all. Crawford was outstanding all around last night but his defense was doubly outstanding.

I assume he is referring to Chris Crawford. I think they are just cousins, if there is any relation at all.

The form on his jump shot has improved a lot since Canada. I didn't think he was going to be very good from outside. During warmups he was also practicing a lot of floaters and mid range shots that we haven't quite seen yet. He looks very comfortable putting those up.

Near the end of the game, he pick pocketed Boatright on the left wing…that was the defining play for him last night. He had many great ones, but after an entire game of shutting down Boatright, that play was the icing on the cake. You'd have thought Markel was the favorite for conference player of the year, he was just toying with Boatright. Reminded me of AA and Robert Vaden/DJ Augustin/etc

Yes...similar form to Pippen.

The arc of improvement for Crawford and Kedren has been impressive. Should continue into AAC tourney and next season. Good stuff.

I have been very critical of staff in many areas but there is no denying that Markel and Austin have both improved greatly over the year.

One can see the confidence growing in Markel with each additional minute played. The young man can get after if on the defensive end at an elite level. Austin is already playing D at an elite level.
