This is not good.

If they drop the last 2 to finish 3-6 Pastner gets a big fat 'F' for the season.

The last 9 games (3-4)
I didn't think they would win the last 2 games no matter what, but A. Nichols being out the next 2, and probable to be out the remainder of the season, they might not win another game.. But if they get the 6th seed, which is probable, they might win their first game in the tourney playing USF or Houston..

Since Nichols missed several games, I think you have to bump it up to a D- .

You're grading on the wrong scale. We've moved on from that one. If you only have two first team pre-season all conference players on your team, it's a down year, and you have to use a curve.

This potential revenue loss was one or two key issues I felt would torpedo Pastner this season. The other was possible multiple player transfers.
But Bowen did make the public proclamation that Pastner is "our head coach" and another coach is NOT being considered in that interview with Calkins.
It seems to me the transfer concerns were overblown and Pastner has a much larger support base than most folks imagined. The ones seeking his dismissal must be in a minority.
The bottom line is Pastner is back as head coach in 2015-16.

Eh, he very well may be back, but I do not put much faith into the statement by Bowen. It was not really a "proclamation", it was answering a question in an interview. What else he is supposed to say? I assume Pastner is back, unless he is takes a job somewhere else, but Bowen saying this would not make me believe there is no chance Pasnter gets fired.

RE: The last 9 games (4-5)
Valid point. Pastner will be under major pressure to get into NCAA tournament and advance to second weekend. Plus OOC schedule harder - Ohio State in Miami, plus Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Louisville series start. He very well might take another job elsewhere, particularly if he wins 20 and gets in NIT.
I think Bowen and most boosters are very much focused on football and basically are willing to let this unsatisfactory basketball season be a mulligun for Pastner.

Yea....I think those in the position of an AD don't say anything but what was said.
Pastner is here till he ain't. I don't pay much attention to the rumblings, grumblings and side shows.

There might be revenue loss in basketball, but basketball revenue loss will be offset by increased football revenue.

Agreed, the AD can't say anything but that! I figure when the boosters paying his salary tell the president and AD that they want a change, there will be a change.
I might be able to move a few rows closer next season!

RE: The last 9 games (4-5)
Actually, what I have heard from about 5 individuals who have bought season tickets for 15+ years is they will NOT renew their season tickets but simply buy certain OOC and "big" AAC home game individual tickets upstairs. They avoid that TSF fee and simply attend the marquee games.
Plus, if there are open seats downstairs, they can walk down to better seats.
In the interest of full disclosure, 2 of these people are going to retire in the next couple of years and are seeking ways to save $$$. I have no idea how many fans will forego season tickets next year. One would presume many let Bowen and his TSF staff know of their intentions.
The bottom line is Pastner is coming back next season IMHO, so we'll see the attendance decrease once the season commences.
