I actually see a chance for us to finish 0-9. @USF (RPI: 234) and @UCF (224) could both be road losses after the loss @ECU(229). The rest of the games are against teams above RPI 100, which we have a 1-8 record against. We probably will get lucky and win one or two.

Pastner may not be the greatest coach in the world BUT he has feasted on bad teams, We will pummel overmanned USF and UCF, the rest of the games are against decent teams, they will be tosssups if we are lucky.

I predict 3-4 in the last 7, bad enough to make his seat hotter but good enough to keep some believin'

This is an incredible stat. Why would anyone think we need to retain Pastner?

because they think we play in a church league.

Hey, some of those Pentecostals play tough defense!

1-2 so far with only 1. 'sure win' left on the scedule.

3-6 is looking like a good bet right now.

Yeah, SMU.

What is this, Browns third year there?

He came in behind Robodoh and basically started a program from scratch.

Meanwhile Pastner still can't find his ass with both hands. He needs to be on Brown's staff learning from him not coaching against him.

Not sure. I think I remember Doh winning a couple. I know they split last year and that SMU won the one so this season.

Might be even. WGAS? In his third year at SMU he's easily eclipsed your boy and he literally started with nothing. He came in and kicked most of Doh's players off the team.

Because Pastner can't find his ass with both hands and is either going to be the coach next year anyway or walk away with 5 million +\- in his pocket to not coach our team.

It's called a lose - lose situation.

After SMU completes the sweep this season it'll be 3 of 4 the past 2 years against a program that we were light years ahead of 3 years ago.

I'm not sure anyone would call it a lose-lose if we could get out of this for $5 mill.

There are ways to encourage a negotiated departure for less than that.

Ok, it's now 2-2 during the last nine game stretch. Five games left.

I think 2-3 beating UCF and one other, probably Tulsa here.

We'll see. That's why they go ahead and play the games.

It's difficult to call the ultimate decision by the big dogs. No doubt they'll wait until the season is completed to decide Pastner's fate. Several things will be analyzed. What I find interesting is MEMPHIS could go 6-3 in these final 9 games and be fired....or he could go 3-6 and be retained.

Either way, I attend the final two home games. The team deserves support.

Squeezed out a win at UCF. I'll take 'em anyway they come this year.

Now for 4 difficult games to wrap up the regular season.

A 2-2 split, 1-1 in AAC, 1-1 NIT is a respectable down year.

If we can win out the the AAC Final, we can still get an at large maybe (hoping)?

Down year in the conference, plenty of talent on this team -- anything could happen. Not too many people expecting too much, though -- fool me once, shame on thee; fool me twice, shame on me. We've had hope stomped flat so many times in the last few years, we're rightfully gun shy. We do own the state of Florida, though, for what it's worth.

And now's our chance to ramp it up. Two home games against the top two teams in the league. A chance to split with both of them and sweep UConn and Cincy. Go Tigers!

3-4 now with 3-6 likely to happen.

It'll be a crime if Pastner is coaching this team next season.

The crime will be in the loss of revenue from the hit the program will take in the reduction of TSF donations and the decreased sale of season tickets if Pastner's still here next year. I know a whole bunch of folks who donate heavy to the TSF and have lower bowl season tix who are NOT gonna renew if he's still here. We'll see.
