Both teams were in their true form in the first quarter, and it was 14-0 Memphis and should have been worse than that. Then Memphis decided to start turning the ball over every possession. Play that game 10 times, Memphis wins 7.

While we did contribute to our loss with the turnovers, on that day; Houston was the better team. The Cougars also had opportunities to turn the ball over and didn't, they played very well when it counted, and they won the game. They also found a QB that will lead them to more wins this year.

In a humorous way, isn't that comparable to saying that the officials cost us that game? Every time Houston went over the goal line, the officials gave them 6 points. Darned officials cost us the game. :)

Wilkie has become irrelevant on this board because he's got a chip on his shoulder with a program or two. He's got 2 teams tied for 5th that have played each other and where was a clear winner. This isn't his first clear bias in his comments. Just ignore.

We beat Houston already

True, on a last second fumble. Houston is looking like they're heading in the right direction while UCF is scuffling a little.
Beat UH on a great defensive and somewhat lucky play.
Beat BYU on a 4th down (I think) goal line pass interference no-call.
Beat Tulane while looking anemic on offense.

After watching both the UH and UCF game this weekend, i think they're a little better than UCF, but it is very close.

It was a no call because it wasn't PI. The defender had position on the ball and as such had just as much right to the ball. Our defender was between the ball being thrown and the qb. At least that's how it was explained.

The scoreboard can be a cruel mistress sometimes. Known to lie a lot.
