You must've missed where fans from other schools were smashed by ECU fans anytime they listed ECU lower than their fans would've liked despite this being an opinion thread.

Be quiet! You have no idea what you are talking about.

If you say they were smashing other fans, then I don't have a problem with calling out individuals who do that. If they are just disagreeing and being polite about it, then some skin may be too thin. I'll take your word it happened the way you said. Still baffling that if the behavior was bad on a few fans part that people think it's fine to stoop to that same level and retaliate against any fan of that school. Labeling entire fan bases and changing how everyone reacts based on those inaccurate accusations is bogus...and some here are really trying to promote that behavior. We all, not just ECU or UCF fans, could do a better job of not issuing broad sweeping stereotypes over the voices of a few.

Tulane hires Pierce, a hot coaching hire to be sure. Means we're stepping up the support and I'm thrilled.

It's funny because these same fans pump up their own school and don't have to defend too hard against those who disagree. Wreaks of people who are scared. Maybe not justified in being scared, but definitely are.

ECU and UCF are probably at the same place where their current teams are. The Pirates had too much talent to end up the way they did this year...and the coaching change result speaks for itself. UCF definitely has better coaching as it currently stands. But that isn't indicative of which is a better job. UCF is on the rise, no doubt. I still think Tulane, ECU and Houston are more sought after jobs and the programs are ahead as well. I see programs as a separate thing from the coaching job and the current team, though those pieces play a large role in the level of the program. Having a down year or two doesn't mean someone else's program is better...just their current team. I have nothing against USF baseball, but I'm not sure how anyone would rank them above UCF that is probably the better argument IMHO. Lack of education on my part I'm sure as everyone has them high an no UCF fans are disagreeing. If someone provide USF's upside (not including potential), I'll sit back and learn something good about one of my conference mates.

USF has among the best baseball facilities in the conference and now we have a new skipper than is a proven commodity as a recruiter and developer of talent at the helm. Again, any answer to this broad question has to be framed with some parameters else it's just going to be based on biased opinions.

It seems like 99 percent of the posters on this thread as you would expect are voting their team number one. Let us settle it on the baseball field next year and coming years in AAC conference play. Our new baseball coach hire David Pierce will make Tulane as it was prior to 2008 very competitive again in the AAC with Houston ECU,South And Central Florida and a former rival Rice in CUSA. The AAC has the potential to be a top baseball conference in my opinion.

Yah the baseball has already begun to improve! I'm very happy. I'll miss playing USM and Rice in baseball... but Rice always had our number so I won't miss them MUCH. 04-cheers

I'm not. I know this isn't a "rank the facilities" poll, but being that a lot of our programs are otherwise fairly equal in many areas, I would have to rank the UCF job below ECU, USF, Houston, and Tulane based on facilities alone. Not saying there is a whole lot of separation. They are all good jobs, with great locations, and at schools with a lot of history (some more than others). But facilities can certainly be used as a dividing line. Which makes UCF's inability to fund our baseball expansion even more frustrating.

Is there an update on who the ECU candidates are? I read some bone banter lists but was woefully underwhelmed by the names on there.
