Bring 20k and 30k to a bowl then talk

Well when we go to a bowl in the continental US, we will. Until then tell your writers to stop writing stuff that you've already failed upon.

I really want to see you bring 30k. Let me copy this statement and we will see just how close you get. You have a long way from the few hundred you brought to the last bowl.

I really would like to see you get back to a bowl game. That might be a good first step.

Actually winning a bowl might be for you guys.....

10 years???

1999... 9-3 beat Miami (top 10), W.Virginia, S.Carolina, NC State as high as #16 finished just outside of the top 25, 5-0 vs the BCS that year.

For clarity's sake, let me add some detail in bold. You said:

"1999... beat (9-4) Miami, (4-7) W.Virginia, (0-11) S.Carolina, & (6-6) NC State."

-----------------------------
Miami was a very impressive win. The rest...well, sort of like UofL beating UK every year. You should beat them if you are decent yourself, but it's nothing to crow about.

I disagree beating UK is impressive IMO. That is an SEC team and you know they have more talent than almost all non BCS teams. Lets be honest you could throw them in CUSA or the MAC and they would contend most any year if not win it. Hell even look at Dukes roster, they are recruiting better classes than any non BCS schools and they would even be a bowl team in a non BCS conference. I don't really take beating any Power Conference teams lightly.

Lets just run through these teams your knocking...

Score 27-23 ....Miami 9-4 (6-1 in the Big East)...#9 at the time we beat them they finished the year at #15 in both polls and won the Gator Bowl over Georgia Tech. They also beat Ohio State. The Loss were to Penn State, FSU, Virginia Tech, and ECU.

30-23.....West Virginia....4-7 when we beat them the were receiving votes in the polls and Mark Bulger was the QB. Not sure what happened to them the rest of the year. They only lost by 2 points to Virginia Tech who went to the National title game that year.

23-6.....NC State....6-6 and they beat teams like Texas (Big 12 south Champ) and Clemson this year. This was a good team playing for a lot when they faced us Pride and a chance at a bowl. If they beat us they went. If they lost the didn't. We kept them home.

21-3.....S. Carolina...0-11 yes but remember this was a game in Columbia against Lou Holtz, with 80k fans and against a team that had some talent ( they went 8-4 the next season), they just played a brutal schedule that year (we were the only non BCS team they played). I would take beating an SEC team in a place like Columbia over a hall of fame coach as as a quality win all day over some 6-6 team from the MAC or Sun Belt.

You can't be serious? Even I have to take up for CUSA, UK would not compete in CUSA most years, they can't even beat Miss St and Vandy most years. Dude UK is TERRIBLE, you are talking about a program that cheats and still can't win. Beating Kentucky is no monumental win and as much as I love seeing my team pound them into the turf they aren't a quality win. UK has decent talent every 4 or 5 yrs and then there talent level falls off miserably. Either there guys can't make the grades or they end up committing a felon somewhere.

Your credibility went out the window when you said UK could win CUSA every other year or contend. ECU has better talent than UK and I'm not joking. They signed a pretty good recruiting class this year, but there classes get SEZ favoritism. They usually have a higher rated recruiting class than we do but they still get pounded. I will say they have some guys this year "with" potential to make it to the next level, but talent and UK in the same sentence literally made me laugh. lmfao

Southern Miss, UCF, UTEP, Houston, UAB, are just a few teams that would definitly beat UK.LOL There #1 and #2 quarterback combined for like 12 passing td's last year, there offense is really really bad. They couldn't hit the side of a barn and they offensive line gave up 6 sacks to Elvis Dumerville. If beating them is monumental then I guess man.

We played you first game and I knew you guys were pretty good and on the cusp of top 25. I think you had Amos Zeroway or Coluburn running the ball as well. I think you were obviously better in game one when we played you than 4-7.

-- The 1999 WVU team had some talent but it was nothing compard to the 1998 WVU team which was preseason Top 10 by most polls....the 1999 team had a lot of young players....Zeroue had left early for the NFL draft the before and the ECU game was Avon Coubourne's first game as a redshirt freshman.....When Bulger got hurt basically the team fell apart

Quote:[quote="3601"] The Big East has proven that lack of tradition and low attendance doesn't mean much when it comes to expanions. Potenial is much more important.

If true, this portends well for the future of C-USA. Our 12-school, all-sports conference has a nice blend of tradition and potential (not to mention large markets).

There is no expansion unless there is a psu,umd or bc.Reality in terms of performance athletically, academically and revenue. Potential is not reality but high hopes.

Better question to wonder about is this mystery school he supposedly went to..... that he is to ashamed to identify. If you can?t even identify you school like Krapp, TS2, and Looney Poop why should anyone even care what you opinion is.

03-weeping Boo hoo

We are still waiting on you to identify these schools you guys "supposedly" went to. I guess since you can't identify them I have just as much right to be on this board as you with you unaffiliated tags. Actually I have more right to be over here on threads that mention my school. For all we know you guys have nothing to even do with the Big East. TS2 claims a un named Big 10 school 03-melodramatic Why is he over here. Obviously you guys aren't on the up and up if you can't even identify your school but ramble on and trash others universities. By not having a school, your opinion are nothing. Why don't you leave?

Brokeback Lovers
Right on cue ... the Brokeback Lover shows up as well ... what a surprise.

You two are the most ignorant posters to ever disgrace a message board. Get lost. You are not wanted here. How many times to you need to be told that? Beat it. Your school is in CUSA. There are plenty of Big East topics on that board for you to discuss. There is no reason for you to be here.

The only reason you ever come over here is to start trouble. You have never contributed anything constructive to this board. You call names and write filthy things about people who are not even in the conversation. Grow up and act like adults for a change. This board is not the smack board.

If you haven't figured out after a year which schools I went to in this conference and which school I played at then too bad. You are obviously dumber than your posts imply. There is no "you guys" on here either. I have nothing to do with any other posters. Each person on here is an individual.

As for me "trashing others universities" - you know very well that is a lie.

You don't run this site and it's a public board. The thread mentioned ECU. I can post over here if I damn well please, prick. I couldn't give 2 sh@$t's less about being in the Big East.... Let's face it, the Big East isn't all that impressive, honestly. Quit being such an abrassive dickhead all the time and you won't have to worry about people dragging your beloved name into the mix. Also, Keep ECU's name off the Big East board and you won't have to worry about me coming over here to join in the conversation.

Completely Inappropriate
You certainly seem to know plenty about dickheads and pricks these days. I never said I run this site, but there is certainly such a thing as public decorum. I have never dragged your name, or your Brokeback Lover's name, into a conversation that you are not a part of. Yet the two of you do this constantly, and that is just plain wrong.

If the Big East is not that impressive then you shouldn't be over here so much. You are the ones constantly over here. If you want to comment on the article, that's one thing, but to launch personal attacks on people who have nothing to do with it is completely inappropriate. I am not the one putting East Carolina's name on this board.

You all need to understand something. Just because some people don't want your school in the Big East doesn't mean they hate your school. It just means they prefer to go in a different direction. It doesn't mean they are attacking your school. It just means they don't want you. When you grow up and realize this, you might be alright.

You need to understand something; I've never brought your name into a conversation. Not one time. Find one time where I've brought up your name EVER without you being involved. :shhh:

I would rather have Temple than East Carolina. Temple is a program on the rise. East Carolina is a program that isn't. They are from the past.
