LOL at this guy. You couldn't complete 30/32 passes without a defense on the field. Congrats to Robinson, thats a hell of a game.

If you haven't figured it out yet ill let u in on a secret...oh nm 03-shhhh

All due respect, but Robinson broke SBC and FBS records, and did it with a bum shoulder, he earned the POW honor. I'm sure Doughty will have more opportunities, just Robinson had a better week, and I have no bias in this opinion.

Topper your an idiot, UAB was not a bad team and I'm not just talking up our opponent they have actually improved. We shall see as the season progresses, but I think UAB has a decent team this year if they just clean up a few mistakes. They have some big boys on that team too, and a pretty darn good QB. I love how everyone talks down UAB even though everyone has only played one game, there is alot of football left to play this year.

I did not see UAB play, I am just going off of how bad they are historically. That coupled with low expectations this season made an OT win look bad.

Maybe they are up. I hope they are. They are our future conference mates.

I didn't mean to smear Troy. It just seems to me that Doughty played a near perfect game, against an SEC team. Both teams have exceptional QB's and should have terrific seasons. My apologies for my abrasive attitude.

Teams nominate players and coaches and/or SIDs vote. It's a crap shoot. Let it go.

Media vote for the football player of the week, not coaches/SIDs

Corey Robinson's feat is even more impressive when you consider Troy had 6 Returning Starters and UAB had 16. This can also explain why the game was as close as it was.

None of our skill positions (4 WRs, RB) retained the same starters from last year. Each position had a different starter. We brought back 1 starting offensive lineman and 1 QB. We had a couple WRs who started last year and started Saturday, but played different positions last year.

For an offense with only two true returning starters, we racked up 497 yards, 300+ were QB Corey Robinson, against a defense with 8 returning starers, and still won. Corey broke records in spite of all that. That to me is damn impressive.

How does Robinson still have eligibility? Seems like he has been playing for Troy 10 years now...Didn't he win Mr. Kentucky in football in like 2006?

Impressive, especially considering all the changes.
