Funniest part of this entire thread and ironic is that if (and only IF) the ACC is raided. BE is raided. Then CUSA is raided again.

For the 80th time you want to nBE to re-up largely and explode the College Football monopoly of ESPN. Also, Marshall could be in the nBE eventually. Or ECU. Or So Miss. Why wouldn't this logic make sense?

So yes keep rooting for the possible ACC expansion because it does not kill the BE. It will just raid CUSA some more.

I don't understand how hard it is to figure out why Memphis/SMU/Houston/UCF bolted at a pindrop. The current CUSA TV deal blows and is controlled by what Fox and ESPN want. Now once other players get in, you could see CUSA getting 5-10 million in the next 5-10 years or so. Depends on if Turner etc will drop the bomb and whether streaming rights blow up.

Right now the BE basketball has Louisville, UCONN and Memphis playing football. What happens if ACC takes Louisville and UCONN? I'd say the Catholic schools will be pissed, there isn't ANYONE you can add that would keep them happy.

Because when those schools bolted (excluding Memphis) there was still AQ status on the line.. that's long gone now. Memphis left for better basketball and I don't blame them for that. Smart move on Memphis' part.

As for Marshall, I just want to stick with ECU and Southern Miss.

Absolutely bizarre that people think CUSA/MWC wont get hurt from moves that happen in leagues above theirs. It's a trickle down effect in terms of losing teams, and if it happens to the ACC it may happen to the BE, then may happen to the MWC/CUSA, then may happen to the Sun Belt, then may happen to the WAC or w/e is left down there. Unless you're the Big XII, no one should really be happy with any more realignment news..

I agree, that will most likely happen, but I think it will be an East Coast league and SMU and Houston go back west.

The Big East still has appeal as one of the top BB leagues. There are still plenty of football teams like Boise, Louisville, Uconn, Navy, etc for inventory. Air Force could be in the mix too. Word is around $13 million per team.

C-USA should get a bump too. There is more competition for programming.
