If FSU and Clemson are gone look for UCONN and Louisville to join to the ACC. I dout ND would join the ACC at this point. If UCONN and Louisville leave the Big East that puts the league at 11 for football my guess is they would add Fresno State Air Force and UNLV to the Big East to give them 14 football playing members and the basketball schools would break away from the football playing members. Thus Boise State SDSU Fresno State UNLV and Air Force would be all sports members in the new Big East and the league would then become a more western league mostly and with a new name at that point. The basketball schools would take the Big East name with them. I would HOPE C-USA would then take New Mexico and Colorado State from what would be left of the MWC add FAU and Middle Tennessee State and go to an 18 team league with two 9 team divisions.

I'm not sure why you guys want the Big East to lose 2 members. That just means another 2 from the C-USA or MWC will get the invite. It works out well if you're one of the 2 though.

The Big East still has the following teams as at least potential members...

BYU
Air Force
Fresno State
ECU

BYU wont go. And the big east wont add two that puts them back at 13. They would add one to go to 12. Or as I said 3 to give them 14 members. I think the 3 will come from the MWC. Then C-USA will take two more from the MWC.

B12 has taken Clemson and FSU and is talking to Ga Tech. So B12 is going to 14 teams it appears. WVA is supposedly pushing hard for MD, a long time rival and a great travel partner.

I think if ACC loses four teams to B12, that ACC would invite UConn, Rutgers, and Louisville for sure. And maybe Cincy and/or USF.

If the ACC were to lose four things could get really crazy with the Big East and C-USA.

As a fan in Texas that watches the B12, I would love to see Cincy in the B12.

Actually, if you read this article and everything occurs in this article with the Big 12 taking teams, the Big 10 taking teams and the SEC taking teams, I don't think the Big East has anything to worry about. In fact, if this scenario plays out, even the Big East could add a couple of ACC teams.

Yeah the Big East won't die if this happens. They'll lose more members and then either we or the MWC will lose more members. This needed to go down before the defectors signed on for the Big East to have actually died. Too late now. They aren't coming back, they'll just take more from us or most likely the MWC.

Why would we want to see that ??? Easy....it makes the midget on midget battle between the Big East, CUSA and MWC more entertaining to watch. Right now the Big East is like a midget with a gun and CUSA and MWC are midgets with a switchblade. Big East loses a few more schools and it is officially a midget knife fight between three conferences.

From reading the expansion board, it seems like a lot of people think that Air Force and BYU, who shunned the a Big East with Rutgers & UConn, would suddenly be interested in a Big East WITHOUT Rutgers and UConn... I'm curious as to why.
