Why? He didn't close the door on it as he said "...for now." It'll make more sense for this deal to get done after December 15th when Nocioni and Smith become eligible to be traded. Until then, there's still going to be a lot of uncertainty for both teams.

I'm basing that off his first 4 years in his career, not just one game. And look at the playoff series against Detroit last year. It was Gordon that actually did a good job on Detroit's guards while Chauncy and Rip tore up Hinrich time after time. Gordon's defense is improving.

Gordon is an awesome shoting guard. But he can't play point very well. Hinrich has to continually guard the opposing team's top scorers (2-guards) because Gordon can't. And he gets lit up sometimes because they are great scorers and have 3-4 " on him. Hinrich would be a 1st team defensive player if he could guard the point guards. The problem is both of them in their at the same time creates mismatches for the other team. Gordon is getting better, but he is still not even close to as good as Hinrich on defense.

Mid 50's in wins? It's the same damn team as last year with the same problems. Can't score inside, can't get to the free throw line, undersized guards. How in the hell can the best guard in the NBA make your team worse? Kobe makes the Bulls an instant Finals contender provided if Paxson can keep Deng and one of Gordon/Hinrich.

+ 100,000 GET KOBE BRYANT ... Gordon is essentially a more explosive and athletic Steve Kerr, no defense, NO ball handling. Package him with Tyrus/Noah, Thabo and some draft picks ... I want a freaking NBA CHAMPIONSHIP NOW! The window to win the East is shrinking FAST and the Bulls don't freaking have time to wait for Tyrus to get his head out of his ass, Noah and Thabo to be consistent performers ... Deng is the only star on this team, everybody else can be traded, I wouldn't mind ... GET KOBE BRYANT

From the Daily Herald: "Kobe Bryant is beachfront property. When it's available at a discount price, you get it while you can, because it's not available very often and never at the same low price.''

Ok, well it's clear Thabo is in Skiles doghouse for just having one game. Include him in the package for Kobe.

And we can't wait a month and a half to make the deal. We have to do it now. I don't want this to be lingering around the rest of the season. Just another flat, awful performance by the Bulls tonight. Only Tyrus and BG came to play. "Captain Kirk" with another craptacular game.

With or without Kobe, the Bulls seem to have taken a huge step backward this year. 35-32 Bulls with 10 mins left in 3rd quarter. awful basketball and painful to watch.

Bulls started off slow last year as well. I'm not worried.

RE: CHICAGO BULLS!!!
Just a poorly coached team. It really seems like these players were content with their 2nd round exit in the playoffs last year. Hinrich and Deng look like absolute ****, Gordon wasn't good today, Tyrus was a no-show, and Wallace is the most overrated player in the NBA. Pretty sad when Joe Smith was your best player for the night.

I know there's still 79 games left, so I'm not really too worried yet. They've started slow the last 3 seasons too. It just goes to show you that Skiles doesn't prepare this team right in training camp and in the preseason. There's no excuse for us to be so bad in the early going.
