There are roughly 10-15 students who have been taking the pilot courses and will be entering their Junior year of the program once it officially opens in the Fall.
Be on the lookout for two more exciting program that have the potential to come out of the College of Technology within the next year or so.

Hey KpJ, that's awesome! Are you a professor?

Do you know if EMU is recruiting candidates to teach in the ME department? I bet if EMU is smart, we start software/computer science engineering. Autonomous vehicles are going to take us by storm. Great opportunity for EMU to become a leader with the correct vision and execution.

I ran the Office of Student Services from 2008-2016.
You are definitely in the ballpark with your guesses as to what's next.

I'm long past the days of school, but I remember years ago a computer engineering student from Va. Tech who we had working with us during a summer or two. Gifted guy. Will never have had problems making a good living.

Mechanical engineering, computer engineering, etc. are the way to go and EMU needs to 'diversify' well beyond its core education reputation.
