RE: Spring Practice
As for WIU, I doubt it will be a blow out. The Leathers will stack the line and keep our running game in check. It will look a lot like the SIU game. It won't be a blowout unless our defense gets a bunch of turnovers.

Stop fam, They were 0-11.
I know you hate the offense. Everyone knew we were running last year and this team won a bunch of games vs non fcs teams who weren’t 0-11.

I wouldn't have thrown it a ton with Lombardi either. Remember how bad we thought Childers was at passing? You tell me which stats are Childers and which are Lombardis:
comp..Att....%.....yards...Td.....int
434....744...58.3...4323...37....18
439....745...58.9...5516...31....16

WIU is on a 24 game losing streak, with their last win coming on October 30, 2021. This one had better be a blowout.

I’m somewhat glad the o line coach got hired away. I felt like they were somewhat stagnet there. No one really taking over at certain lineman positions and not a lot of big growth to become a drafted player. Could be addition by subtraction with him leaving.
I was kidding. As painful as Carey's offense was at times with it's predictability (I feel like we only had 9 plays), it was better than Hammocks.
At least under Carey we had tempo for those 9 plays lol
It did seem like the hurry-up offense helped in a lot of situations when Carey ran it. Now the offensive line is probably asleep by the time we snap the ball. I know I start nodding off.
Me too! I had difficulty staying awake when we were on offense. I kept falling asleep and ended up resting my head on the girl next to me. I kept profusely apologizing when my head kept hitting her until she finally yelled out, “That’s not the head I ever want to see on me!!” However, the good news is the pain from her slaps kept me awake the rest of the game.

They will stack the line and dare us to throw. That’s something the Huskies will see the entire season, so they better get used to it. If only we had a QB who could throw and receivers who could catch! That’s not asking for too much, is it?

I understand. Poor guys! I guess our indoor practices were good then. Maybe that’s why Hammock said he was pleased with the team’s practices.

That’s insane. Hate Hammock as much as you want - me and the homies playing flag football can play the Carolina panthers like it’s the Super Bowl and they will beat the hell out of us. Same thing here.
WIU sucks…for an FCS squad…We don’t suck for an FBS team.
I expect a comfortable lead and in spite of coach Ham never wanting to go up by more than 1 score the running backs will destroy WIU.

I think we will blow out WIU but it’s also hard for me to blame people for not thinking we will when we struggled with Kent State to end last year, lost to SIU last year, and took a last minute defensive stand to beat EIU (who was an FCS team coming off a 1-10 season and ended up going 2-11) in 2022.

Although I can see us getting blown out, I don’t see us blowing out anyone on our schedule. I see games we win as close nail biters. It’s just the way Hammock coaches. Should the Huskies get a big lead, he will use up the clock and coast the rest of the way, and it ends up a close game and possibly a loss. I am so tired of repeating the same script.

RE: Spring Practice
I don't think our offensive mind set changes. Keep the game close and try to win it in the fourth quarter. It doesn't matter who the opponent is...
