Veatch comments last week. This news today. Maybe, just maybe they are trying to get serious about winning big in basketball again. Cobble together some NIL funds and let Penny and Stans do their thing on the recruiting trail.

He really just needs to tweak a few things. Last season he was imo one player short. Shoulda kept Nolley and probably would have if Lester hadn’t left. This year he had 3 players not pan out. One dude to injury , one due to losing his shot and one due to losing his shape and possibly bad fit.

He’s not as far off as everyone thinks

Last year should have been Boogie, Baugh & Jeffries senior year. What a difference it would have made had he been able to keep a roster together.

Baugh. I was trying to think of his name last week. That kid had speed and athleticism.

I wonder why Stansbury would want to return if he's being ignored?

I observed Rick and Penny up close at multiple away games this year in Texas. They seem to have a really good dynamic with one another. At every time out they talk together and then Penny goes into the huddle.

I honestly think Penny's biggest problem is his desire to be one of "The Guys" still and be cool with all of his players. Until he acts like a leader with them, they will not respect him the way they should and we can expect similar results as the last 6 years.

I agree it is one of his biggest problems. However it isn't the only one.

I remember Stammers on here saying Lomax was a better option than either. What happened to that guy?
