Bass would be addition by subtraction. This team played so much better without him. I think Hayes' is a good decision. Impact wasn't there.

That will make 3 schools in 3 years for Bass. if you count he went to 4 different HS, that is 7 different schools. He has moved every year. Good riddance.

And I would be shocked if he didn't hit 4 NCAA programs in 4 years. His NIL deal should be a concert tour-like t-shirt with his name on the back and cities listed...Reggie Bass NCAA Tour.

Looks like 31 MAC players have entered the portal since the end of the season. Not sure how many are scholarship players but at 13 scholarships per team it's basically like almost 2.5 teams have left.

Certainly, neither is much of a surprise. I wonder if Senderoff nudged either or both?

And here we go. Sullinger in the portal. So much for all the key players returning.

That one hurts, he must be hearing from bigger programs. He’s not going to get that long leash to play his way like he has at KSU. Hope to hold on to Davis, I think he could one of the best in the MAC and would like to see him featured better.

Well, if he heard from bigger programs before he entered the portal those would be violations. I suppose it's possible he entered just to test the waters. The school someone is at when a player enters the program isn't required to take the player back, but I imagine Senderoff would, provided there is a scholarship still available. I'm not sure how many programs better than Kent State would want a 5'10" player very badly. I suppose we'll find out.

Interesting to see if he winds up somewhere else in the MAC ... or lands outside the league.
Interesting, since the only 'better???' MAC options would possibly be Toledo/Akron/OU or maybe Miami.
Then you have to ask yourself ... 'is he an A-10 player, and if so, where?' ... He could probably land at a number of Horizon League teams ... after that he basically has to go outside of the region.
Have no clue where he might land, but guessing NIL will drive his decision, considering, basketball-wise, as stated above he probably won't get the long leash he had at Kent.

It’s been going on for years, middlemen and handlers reach out to somebody around the player like a HS or AAU coach and as soon as they jump into the portal they already have a landing spot and NIL deal. And yeah, a SG with his size and style of play is best suited right where he’s at, he won’t do better.

I'm sure there is plenty of tampering and always has been. But anyone connected to a program would have to make sure their "fingerprints" aren't on it anywhere, to avoid sanctions.

Would not be surprised if Sullinger ends up at Ohio State.

Can’t imagine he’d go to another MAC program being that his uncle is our Associate HC. If he does, I wouldn’t want to be at the Sullinger families Thanksgiving Dinner table.

Yeah if he stayed in the MAC I'd be shocked. Two of the 'better' options you mentioned are a team we beat in the first round that just had their #2 and #3 scorers hit the portal today, and a team we were leading against in the championship with 6 seconds to go who just so happens to lose their top 5 scorers the next time they lose. The only way a move in the MAC makes sense to me is if someone else in the MAC is paying much better NIL money.
My guess is he's testing the waters looking for a significant NIL offer and if it doesn't come he'll be back. Also, I kinda think it will come. Yeah he's short, but he's effective and has a recognizable name. Check the top NIL earners. Lots of recognizable last names on that list.
