RE: CUSA MMB Week #15
Conference tourney will be all neutral floor games so there should be no "home court advantage." Except the higher seed is always the "home" team so the trend might continue because of that, provided form holds. But I have a feeling the tournament is going to be a real "free-for-all" and there will be plenty of surprises. Throw the names in a hat and randomly pick out two names to play in the final. You'd have just as good a chance of predicting the two finalists as trying to handicap the event. Gonna be fun!

Western and MT will have quite a few fans there (MT women's fans will come see the men).

Bring a jacket -- it is cold in the arena, which is used for hockey.

Jax State technically has the biggest advantage being so close to home followed by MTSU and WKU. I expect a solid showing from the WKU faithful this year

RE: CUSA MMB Week #15
NMSU had the largest fan following in Las Vegas during conference tournament time. I don't expect nearly the numbers in Alabama, but I think once the NMSU basketball program has left last year's problems in the dust and Hooten produces an NCAA tournament capable team, the Aggie fan following should be "decent" at the CUSA Tournament... a few hundred I would guess.

I won't be at the CUSA tournament this year because of job demands this spring but I do expect to be there in 2025.

Middle maybe closer to Huntsville than JSU. Havent measured it but I bet its close. Not a real good way to get to Huntsville from Jacksonville.

1 and 2 seeds have a massive rest advantage on the rest of the field. Quarters on Wednesday at 5:30 and 8pm, then won’t play semis until Friday morning. I know this isn’t PC, but flip flopping the game times from AM to PM each day as some sort of title 9 ploy to accommodate the women's teams just sucks. 3-6 seeds will play quarterfinals at 5:30 and 8 pm on Thursday, then turn around and play semis at 11:30 am and 2:00 pm on Friday.

Google maps says...

MT to Propst Arena--1H 53m, 85 miles

JSU to Propst Arena-- 1H 56m, 97 miles

WKU to Propst Arena-- 2H 50m, 175 miles

KSU to Propst Arena-- 2H 51m, 156 miles

Some "smart' driving will reduce these times a little.

MT fans may also know of a well known shortcut that was mentioned for their folks on this board in the past.

Hope it is well-attended and there are some great games. I don't think Tech will be around after the first day so times/days/rest for the semis don't matter to me. Our WBB team just sucks, they are horrible. The MBB team lacks guards and guard-play makes all the difference when games matter the most. I think we'll be one-and-done this year in both sides.

Y'all enjoy! And then I hope whoever represents CUSA in the Dance, both MBB and WBB, can make a little noise in the Dance. Whoever it is I will be rooting hard for 'em.

Again.

What are we up to for conference H-A split?

Does 40-10 seem right?

If so, that's something. 80%

We need to chip away at that some over the next three games.

Lived in the Huntsville area for a couple of decades, all the while maintaining season tickets. Took the route through Shelbyville and Petersburg when I thought I could save some time, and I did, well under two hours - much closer to an hour and a half, though growth and traffic patterns may have changed that. Haven't done that in a good while nor would I want to try.

Uhhh.... You are in first place and have an excellent chance at the #1 seed. AND--have the highest NET rating in CUSA (85).

Yeah, I’m not buying the sand bagging either.

Not sand bagging. Tech has guard issues. I hope Sean Newman comes back from his eye injury, and of course, hope Batcho is back and healthy too. But even with a healthy Newman and Jordan Crawford we have struggled in the backcourt.

Guess we'll see.
