1st place La Tech beats Gamecocks 63-58 before less than a thousand folks. They have the most talented team in the league. A league leading NET rating of 79 and deserve better support. I feel bad for their players.

I bereave TECH is on quarter break. So not many around campus.

Yeah I guess it’s like your football attendance when you are hosting the championship game. That’s a head scratcher too. Doesn’t your team “deserve better?”

It is only irrelevant when convenient of course. /s

Attendance matters all the time. It also matters less than winning.

No program is completely honest with their numbers. Some fudge less than others, at the end of the day none of us should be throwing attendance stones in glass houses.

I don’t see the basketball standings on the OP in this thread.

I DO see the attendance standings!

RE: CUSA MMB Week #15
Looking forward to the LU/SHSU rematch tonight. Kats DO NOT match up well with the Flames. Liberty’s stretch ability presented our defense tons of issues in VA. If they’re hot we might get shot out of our own gym. Flames are a 5 point favorite.

Lamar Wilkerson’s availability is still questionable.

Liberty’s first trip to Huntsville since 2012, a season in which they went to the NCAA Tournament! Hoping for a decent crowd at the Coliseum, although I’d imagine the baseball game with Okie State will be the main attraction in Huntsville today.

May be true about matchups, but Liberty is 1-4 on the road in CUSA. If Liberty wants to make any type of run, they really need this game vs. Sam Houston, though it is Sam Houston with the revenge factor.

Rolling with a smallball lineup tonight. Huefner starts at center.

Wilkerson playing. Kats open up an early six point lead in Huntsville.

RE: CUSA MMB Week #15
My take:

SHSU taking smaller flames to the bucket to score easily--too quick for the "D".

Flames generally use threes to neutralize their weaknesses--but only 1 for 8 so far.

27-9 mismatch early.
