No AAC team in any sport has started conference play 5-0 before falling to 5-5. Tigers are a 6.5 point road favorite to avoid that fate.

Memphis just 1.5 back of 4th place SMU for the bye.

Elsewhere I have predicted Temple by 4. Penny will continue his 'everybody plays' subbing pattern until it's too late, but there will be orange slices and juice boxes after the game.

My Owls will keep it close, but falter down the stretch, as usual.

Uh, Memphis did not start 5-0. They started 4-0, lost 4 straight, then won their last game for 5-4.

It looks like the last 10 mins of the Wichita State game may have gotten the Tigers out of their funk. Looking really good against Temple so far.

Up 36-19. On a 14-4 run.

MEMPHIS up 45-27 at half. Not bad overall but sporadic periods of shoddy play. Important to NOT lose focus.

Jayden goes in when it was 9-2. Now its going to be 11-10. Gettum outta there!!!!!!!!!!

MEMPHIS wins UGLY 84-77. FTs were just horrendous, missed about 14 in the 2nd half. Good effort by Temple.

Happy the Tigers won and took another step preparing for the AAC Tournament.

The most important thing: the Hardaway boys got their minutes, and everybody got a participation ribbon.

The Hardaway brothers only played 16 of 200 minutes (8%). The main issue with the close win does not lie with them

The Tiger's narrow victory can be mainly traced to missed free throws. Memphis only made 51.6%. A normal conversion (e.g., 75%) would probably have resulted in a comfortable win.

Pierre, who many wished to ride the pine, was one of the FT culprits (1-4), but scored nine of his ten points from three (3 of 4 shooting).

Glad the Tigers held on

The Tigers still look like a mess. I still contend that Penny is not a good coach. Just my two cents.
