RE: BBL vs Campbell
They diced us up all game. Our defense was lazy with no real effort to stop the Camel's set offense. Pathetic. We were out played and out coached. Very few fans at the game and those who came should ask for a refund.

RE: BBL vs Campbell
I'll throw this out again. How is Lemond not able to get minutes when we're playing like this? Either he's a great recruit or we were sold a bill of goods. Nothing against Myles Hicks, but if we're finding minutes for a walk-on, how are we not finding minutes for a player that was billed as arguably our best recruit ever? Not to mention in the few minutes he got earlier in the season, he didn't look terrible. There were freshmen mistakes, but that's a big part of why you play him now. The season is already over, barring a freak CAA tournament run.

Lemond hasn't dressed for several games. Not sure about the injury.

An undersized small team outhustled outsmarted and outplayed another on the road to earn and deserve a win. Great heart for that team. I wish we had a team like Campbell.

RE: BBL vs Campbell
At least 4 instances of the Tribe either catching the ball out of bounds or dribbling it out of bounds….missing layups….missing free throws…this team loses focus too easily. What really gets me is that these last two losses were AT HOME and to two BAD TEAMS (these were two home games that we certainly should have expected to win).

RE: BBL vs Campbell
Generally, below the P5 level of play, a Mid-Major team that plays a college style (cut and screen) type offense, will beat a Mid-Major team that plays an NBA style (one on one) offense. Tonight was a great example. They cut and screened and cut and screened and we never really got any help defense when that happened. They were 30 for 49 on, basically, all layups, 58 points in the paint.

I hadn't seen anything about an injury. If he is injured then that's at least one less thing to be upset about.

Well, since there is no transparency and it is all speculation, then maybe it is something else entirely.

It is a possibility that they are talking to him about redshirting, maybe putting another year between him and Chase. (Don't know, just speculating on the absence.)

Even if you are redshirting, you dress for the games. He has been in street clothes. He is injured (not sure what), and he hopes to be back soon.

RE: BBL vs Campbell
Five minutes into the game, I told my wife that we were toast. Even early on there was no energy or sense of urgency. Is there no one on the team besides Charlie who can play and pass out of the high post position so that our offense does not spend the entire shot clock passing the ball on the perimeter.

Spending what seems like the entire game watching Chase Lowe try to post up guards is just plain painful after awhile. Don’t get me wrong. Chase is a tough nosed kid who works harder than just about anyone on the team, but why in the world did we bring in Trey Moss to play the point when we have given the job to Lowe for no apparent reason.

For this offense to be anything but offensive, it would appear to me that our guards need to be able to penetrate the lane and be a threat to get to the rim AND score while also being a threat to beat you from the perimeter. Chase is neither.

The Campbell coach certainly scouted us well. Start off by picking us up full court whenever possible with a soft zone trap so that we have to take 8 seconds to get the ball into the half court, and then zone us for the remainder of the time to force us to make as many harmless perimeter passes as possible befor taking shots out of desperation. I clearly exaggerate here, but I am tired of watching this offense.
