Penn State, Syracuse, Rutgers, BC, Pitt, Maryland

Notre Dame, Louisville, VT, Virginia, Duke, UNC

FSU, Clemson, GT, NC State, Wake, Miami

This would be a conference that would be able to compete for TV dollars with the additions, and Notre Dame but not completely as a full member, but agreeing to play 7 game’s guaranteed with scheduling option of an 8th game if and when they need to fill out schedule. The ACC petitions the NCAA with others to move from a championship game to host semis and a championship. Taking the top 4 teams with highest two seeds hosting the semis with championship hosted in Jacksonville.

These moves would help TV dollars tremendously, and the travel would enhance many schools budgets to help with revenue more so than some would believe.

PSU is worth the $80m a year offer, but I don't think Rutgers or UMd is, but I'd like for the ACC to have them as well, probably a post 2036 add.

If PSU considers, they'd probably want some other concessions like annual games with Pitt, SU, and VT, possibly one of the Florida schools as well. I think you'd go back to divisions and with 18 schools it makes a nice 3x6 or 2x9. I'd be ok with it either way.

I'd rather have Cal, Stanford and SMU .... and the state footprints those schools bring for our little conference network.

You can still have them as the West Coast division with the addition of Oregon State and Washington State along with say North Texas. So you would have as follow as your West Coast Division.

Stanford, SMU, California, Oregon State, North Texas, Washington State

Hey, I'd like to have a conference PSU would be tempted to join.

I would hazard a guess that Penn St would act worse than FSU crying about money if they were to join the ACC. No thanks.

There is absolutely zero chance that ND would agree to play 7-8 ACC opponents a season.

Zero chance. Perhaps even below zero chance, if such a thing is possible.

This is a complete fantasy. PSU, Rutgers and Maryland will not leave the Big Ten.

ND will not join the ACC nor increase its football commitment to the conference.

There would be no crying if they are paid the same as they wouid get from the BigTen. In reality, they are probably a close to a $100m per year type of brand. The other change that could make the ACC more attractive is if PSU kept more than 50% of their gate revenue. That would be significant for a 110k+ home attendance.

MD ratted out Nathan Hatch and WF to OSU and Michigan.

It's not fun being smothered by scUM and Ohio State.

I think UGA ratted out Michigan to the NCAA before when Harbaugh was wanting to set up all of those satellite camps.

Personally I don’t give a crap about Notre Dame, and I was just enhancing the appeal of the conference if it were to add PSU. Also with those games it would allow Notre Dame to participate within the conference and play for a championship. Now with my scenario I was figuring in a new media contract as well. Heavens to be someone mentions Notre Dame in a way that would prosper others than their own greed. Again nothing more than one’s opinion of what could be.

Does anyone have a drawer full of compromising photos of of the Penn St President and members of their BOT?

That’s about the only way you’d get them to switch.

You throw a bunch of money at them and make them tell you "no".

First things first, get FSU taken care of. Without them the ACC looks a lot less attractive.
