I think NDSU has more to do with it than App. The FCS went 4-114 against the FBS this year. Since the first move ups in the 80's the FCS has gotten weaker and weaker. There are a ton of former 1-AA/FCS playoff teams in the FBS now. Had everyone stayed it might have grown into something decent. It got really boring being a FCS fan when you only saw good games two or three times at most a year. Going to away games in high school level stadiums with 5000 or less in the stands got lame quick. Some of the GS fan base would love to go back to that so their egos can be boosted with huge wins over Elon and WCU.

Really funny how you started with it has to do more with NDSU than App, then your whole following argument is due to good FCS teams leaving for FBS, which NDSU is not part of.
