Football Game 11 - Richmond
W&M has been susceptible to fake punts in the past (most egregiously against Villanova but there have been numerous others) and so we better be on the lookout for it against Richmond. Here is the CAA write-up for Aaron Trusler, the Richmond punter who just won CAA Special Teams Player of the Week:

"Trusler averaged 45.2 yards on four punts and executed a key fake punt in Richmond’s 38-24 victory over Elon. With the game tied late in the first quarter, Trusler ran 21 yards for a first down, keeping a drive alive that would result in a TD that put the Spiders ahead to stay. He also contributed a 58-yard punt and dropped a pair of kicks inside the 20-yard line."

Go in the game early to see the seniors and their parents.

We escaped it for the most part last offseason, but I won't be surprised if we are hit by the transfer portal this year.
Lots of seniors combined with transfers creates an opportunity to remake the roster quickly.

I had a similar thought. Certainly easier to keep players when you feel. Like you were THIS close to a title,

Just remember that we are running out of the Covid "free" year of eligibility. From what I can see with London, if you are good enough to play as a true freshman then you play. I'd be surprised if we lose a lot to the portal outside of kids who graduate this spring with eligibility left.

The series is tied at 64-64-5. Two long time rivals playing for the Capital Cup. It should be a great game. Beat the ticks.

Huesman is preparing as if Wilson will be back this Saturday. I'm sure he will prepare for both, but he thinks they will be facing Darius.
Wickersham will start for the Spides. He has been involved in the running game, quite a bit, since his return to starting QB.

Awesome 3rd down sack to start the game. Way to get off the field defense.

And then a deep shot to start the game for the offense! This board probably just had their minds blown seeing that

Huesmann said, this week, that they would have to match W&M with creative plays. Well, so far, one apiece. Could be a fun game to watch.

Richmond OLine controlling us. Consistently getting push on their runs and our pass rushers aren't getting home

Going to be an uphill battle on offense in the 2nd half without Imoh.

The dropback, chuck it deep to Mathis, offense is going to get old real quick.

Will need the defense to do something special I'm afraid.

Not sure what happened to the TE involvement we had in our first series.
