Yeah i wouldn't be an odu fan if i didn't pick us to be best in something. Even if logically i know we aren't. Granted i don't think we will be best. Top 5-6

Odd how it still resembles the coaches poll then. With teams that were expected to win still appearing at the top. But, I also made sure to make results not public. I guess it's only natural that the mods would still be able to see who voted for who.

I guess next year I will post other than your own team who do you think will win.

When was this? I looked at the top 25 coaches poll for Men's basketball and it's not there. I remember the USM coach doing this one year. But, it was mid season and we were actually pretty good at that point. If I remember right we also lost the next game.

I think we can compete for a top 4 spot if all goes well and everyone gels and looks as good as what I’ve heard. Maybe if we get lucky we push for the conference title even. I also think the wheels could easily fall off and we finish around 10th. If I really had to take a stab I’d guess we finish 5th. My rankings based on nothing but knowing what they’re bringing back from last year, what I’ve gathered from other random people, and gut feeling would be:

I think Marshall is going to be better than what most (including Marshall fans) are giving them credit for. I think we'll be a top 4 team - I just don't think we are going to be the best team in the league this year.

We lost Kinsey, Taylor, and Handlogten. I think the combo of Voyles and Martin will outperform Taylor and Handlogten. Can Connor and Fricks match Kinsey in the aggregate? We'll see a dropoff from the 3 spot, but I think our starting 5 and the 6th man will be pretty solid this year. We just have little bench depth.

11th? That’s just insulting. I said that we were back to embracing mediocrity. Which would put us 7th or 8ish at least . .

I have an itch to scratch that says stAte may open some eyes this year. Time will tell.

I would bet money that Arkansas State will be in the Top half at the end of the year with a good chance of being Top 5.

I'll probably post a new poll after the OOC season is over before conference play starts that reasks this question again. Only difference being you can't pick your own team and will have open poll results so we can see if anyone picks their own team. It should be a lot clearer by then who the real contenders are.
