I’ll be there! I liked the 45-42 over HU. We had a good crowd with rain the whole game.

I know the game was delayed but I didn't think the rain was bad for that game like the others you mentioned. Also it was delayed to start and not in the middle so that might be what makes it different to me.

I cheered that game and theres a great photo of me after the game where my face is beet red from sunburn haha. It was HOT but the excitement of the game was so worth it. My body hurt from stunting and running flags in the end zone lol. And its about 10 degrees hotter on the turf too. I can't imagine what the players on both sides felt!

I was including the tailgate experience in with that. The JMU tailgate was pouring down but it wasn’t that bad during the game either.

Just heard that game will still be 3:30 but tailgate lots will not be opened prior to game.

NORFOLK, Va. – Due to forecasted severe weather in Hampton Roads on Friday, Sept. 22 and Saturday, Sept. 23, outside tailgating prior to the Old Dominion Football game against Texas A&M University-Commerce has been suspended. The game is still scheduled for 3:30 p.m. kickoff.

Kaufman Mall activities have been moved inside to the Webb Center.

The Homecoming parade has been canceled.

Parking will be available in the yellow, gold, grey, beige, orange, white and brown lots and is first come, first served. The red, silver and black lots are for reserved parking and a pass is required. General parking will also be available in the 43rd and 45th street parking garages.

Parking lots will open at 11:30 a.m. and stadium gates will open at 1:30 p.m.

Blue, burgundy, pink and purple lots will be closed.

With the lots opening at 11:30, seems like they’re saying “tailgating is officially suspended, but … ;!”

This may set the record for the smallest crowd since we restarted football!

Tailgating is not going to be allowed. The person I talked to inside the athletic office said there are 40 to 50 mph wind gusts in the forecast and they don't want a tent or chair flying and hurting someone.

I’m bummed they aren’t pushing the start time until later but it does make sense. There will be flooding, and mixing in darkness with that is a recipe disaster. Maybe the 13 of us that show up could sit in the suites?

Kudos to ODU for sending out the text message an hour ago. We dog them on here a lot but they did good with this one.
